A second transmitting antenna is disposed so as to allow communication in a second range that accommodates the transmitting and receiving unit attached to the first wheel and does not accommodate the transmitting and receiving unit attached to the second wheel. A controller associates an identification code of the transmitting and receiving unit, which has received request signals from the first and second transmitting antennas and has transmitted response signals, with a region shared by the first and second ranges, and associates an identification code, assigned to the transmitting and receiving unit, other than the identification code associated with the region with a region inside the first range and outside the second range.

The engine startup system includes: a transponder circuit installed in the portable device and activated upon receiving a query signal transmitted from the in-vehicle device to generate a primary reply signal for the authentication of the in-vehicle device; and a transmitting circuit installed together with the transponder circuit in the portable device and converting the primary reply signal generated by the transponder circuit into a transmission signal of another wavelength band to transmit the transmission signal as a secondary reply signal for the authentication of the in-vehicle device.

    Abstract: A haptic feedback input device includes a pair of driving levers journaled at a frame such that rotary shafts thereof are perpendicular to each other, an operating lever coupled to an intersection of the two driving levers such that it can rock, and a pair of rotary motors that apply feedback force to the operating lever via the two driving levers. In the haptic feedback input device, a pair of rotary encoders detect the relative dislocation amount of the operating level, and an absolute position detecting unit is composed of swing arms fixed to the two driving levers and photo interrupters that detect the existence of blocking portions formed at the swing arms and that output ON/OFF signals. A control unit calculates a reference position of the operating lever based on ON/OFF switching signals of the photo interrupters.

    Abstract: A shift operation device is provided which includes: a shift knob which can be rotated and pushed; a push detecting switch which detects a pushed state and a non-pushed state of the shift knob and outputs switching signals for setting and releasing parking in the respective states; a rotary switch which detects a rotation state of the shift knob and outputs a shift select signal; and a pop-up tool which switches the shift knob from the pushed state to the non-pushed state. The pop-up tool has a push switch which detects press operation of the shift knob and an actuator which lifts up the shift knob from the pushed state to the non-pushed state. When a brake is operated and the push switch is turned on, the actuator lifts up the shift knob.

A correction control portion provided to the controller determines a calorific value of the actuator from the temperature signal, then a correction value of driving power supplied to the actuator from the calorific value so calculated, adds a correction value of driving power of the actuator at the time of a normal operation and decides driving power of the actuator at the time of over-heat.
