  • Patent number: 11122082
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that leverage multi-factor authentication features of a service provider and intelligent call routing to increase security and efficiency at a customer call center. Pre-authentication of customer support requests reduces the potential for misappropriation of sensitive customer data during call handling. A contactless card uniquely associated with a client may provide a second factor of authentication via a backchannel to reduce the potential for malicious third-party impersonation of the client prior to transfer of the call to the customer call center. Pre-authorized customer support calls may be intelligently and efficiently routed directly to call center agents, without incurring further delay. During call handling, call center agents may initiate further client authentication processes, including contactless card authentication requests, over one or more different communication channels for authorizing access to sensitive information or to allay suspicion.

  • Publication number: 20210201296
Abstract: Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media for tapping a contactless card to a computing device to provision a virtual number. At least one parameter for authorizing a virtual account number for a subaccount associated with a primary account may be received. An application executing on a processor circuit may receive authentication credentials for the primary account. A card reader may receive encrypted data from a communications interface of a contactless card. The application may transmit the encrypted data to an authentication server. The application may receive verification of the encrypted data from the authentication server. The application may provide the at least one parameter for authorizing the virtual account number and receive a virtual account number for the subaccount generated by a virtual card number server, the virtual account number restricted to a spending limit based on the amount parameter associated with the virtual account number.

  • Publication number: 20210192495
Abstract: Account registration using a contactless card. A payment application executing on a device may receive a request to generate a payment account using a contactless card. The payment application may receive encrypted data from the contactless card and transmit the encrypted data to a server associated with the contactless card. The device may receive a push notification from the server and open an account application associated with the contactless card responsive to selection of the push notification. The account application may receive confirmation to generate the payment account using the contactless card and transmit the confirmation to the server. The device may open the payment application responsive to receiving verification of the encrypted data from the server. The payment application may fill form fields with account data received from the server and generate the payment account using the account data received from the server filled into the form fields.

  • Patent number: 11037165
Abstract: A device receives a transaction request concerning a transaction and a transaction card from a transaction terminal, and determines, based on the transaction request, information concerning the transaction card. The device sends, based on the transaction request and to a user device, a query concerning possession of the transaction card by a user of the user device, where the query includes an instruction for the user to confirm possession of the transaction card via a component of the user device. The device receives, from the user device and after sending the query to the user device, a response concerning possession of the transaction card by the user, and determines, based on the response and the information concerning the transaction card, whether the user has possession of the transaction card. The device performs, based on determining whether the user has possession of the transaction card, at least one action.

  • Publication number: 20210168237
Abstract: A server can receive a plurality of records at a databases such that each record is associated with a phone call and includes at least one request generated based on a transcript of the phone call. The server can generate a training dataset based on the plurality of records. The server can further train a binary classification model using the training dataset. Next, the server can receive a live transcript of a phone call in progress. The server can generate at least one live request based on the live transcript using a natural language processing module of the server. The server can provide the at least one live request to the binary classification model as input to generate a prediction. Lastly, the server can transmit the prediction to an entity receiving the phone call in progress. The prediction can cause a transfer of the call to a chatbot.

  • Publication number: 20210117972
Abstract: A messaging platform can automatically detect patterns in messaging behavior of a user, and based on the patterns, create and implement rules for incoming messages or other electronic communications. In response to each incoming message or electronic communication, the messaging platform can classify the message or electronic communication based on the created rules. The messaging platform can also perform various tasks in response to receiving the message or electronic communication. For example, the messaging platform can create a calendar entry in the user's calendar, forward a message, archive a message, reply to a message, etc.

  • Publication number: 20210029111
Abstract: A password-less authentication system and method include registering a contactless card of a client with an application service and binding the contactless card to one or more client devices. The contactless card advantageously stores a username and a dynamic password. Accesses by the client to the application service may be made using any client device, and authentication of the accesses may be performed by any client device that includes a contactless card interface and can retrieve the username and dynamic password pair from the contactless card. By storing the username on the card, rather than requiring user input, application security improved because access to and knowledge of login credentials is limited. In addition, the use of a dynamic password reduces the potential of malicious access.

  • Publication number: 20200380591
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to overlaying relevant product information in augmented reality via the use of near-field communication (NFC) and a product selection system. A user may authenticate into an application or user profile. Information about the user in the user profile may be used to determine which products are relevant to the user. Information related to the relevant products may then be displayed to the user in augmented reality, which improves at least the overall shopping and in-store experience.

  • Publication number: 20200302432
Abstract: Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture to securely share data stored in a blockchain. A contactless card may receive a request to provide a data element from a device. An applet of the contactless card may encrypt the data element and a wallet address. The applet may generate a signature for the request, and transmit, to a mobile device, the signature and the encrypted data. The mobile device may transmit, to a verification service, the signature and encrypted data. The verification service may verify the signature based on a public key. A node in a blockchain may generate a block in the blockchain, the block comprising indications of the verification of the signature, the requested data element, and the wallet address. An encrypted data element corresponding to the data element may be decrypted using a public key. The device may receive the decrypted data element from the wallet address.

  • Publication number: 20200294054
Abstract: A device receives first transaction information associated with a first transaction, and a first transaction account utilized for the first transaction and associated with a first financial institution. The device determines, based on a fraud model, that the first transaction is to be denied due to potential fraud associated with the first transaction account and receives second transaction information associated with a second transaction, and a second transaction account utilized for the second transaction and associated with a second financial institution. The device processes the first transaction information and the second transaction information, with a matching model, to determine whether the first transaction information matches the second transaction information and determines that the first transaction was incorrectly denied when the first transaction information matches the second transaction information within a predetermined threshold.
