Abstract: A disposable diaper is formed in a crotch region with a body fluid absorbent panel extending in a back-and-forth direction of the diaper and in the vicinity of transversely opposite side edges of the crotch region with elastic leak-barrier cuffs extending in the back-and-forth direction. The leak-barrier cuffs are normally under a tension in the back-and-forth direction. The body fluid absorbent panel is formed with first folding guide means extending across the body fluid absorbent panel, along which the body fluid absorbent panel can be folded to bring the body fluid absorbent panel close to the diaper wearer.

Abstract: A disposable wearing article comprises a liquid-impervious chassis, a pair of liquid-impervious leak-barrier sheets laid along transversely opposite side edges of the chassis, a body fluid absorbent first panel extending over a crotch region and a rear waist region of the chassis and joined to the chassis and a body fluid absorbent second panel extending over a front waist region and the crotch region. The second panel has a front portion joined to the front waist region, a distal portion and transversely opposite side edges joined to the chassis. The distal portion has side sections extending upward above the chassis and joined to distal sections of the respective leak-barrier sheets and a transversely middle section extending between the side sections and describing a circular arc which is convex upward above the side sections and thereby a pocket opening from the crotch region toward the rear waist region is formed between the chassis and the distal portion.

Abstract: Here is disclosed a method for continuously making disposable diaper. First and second body fluid absorbent panels overlapping each other in a crotch region so as to form a feces retaining pocket are formed along transversely opposite side edges thereof with elastic leak-barrier cuffs, a pair of continuous leak-barrier cuffs are fed in stretched state so that these continuous leak-barrier cuffs may partially cover the first and second body fluid absorbent panels overlapping each other in the crotch region. The transversely opposite side edges of these continuous cuffs are partially bonded to a partial region of a second inner surface of the second body fluid absorbent panel overlapping a first inner surface of the first body fluid absorbent panel.

Abstract: Here is disclosed a disposable diaper having the feces retaining pocket formed by body fluid absorbent panel sections overlapping each other in a crotch covering region so that the feces retaining pocket can be largely opened. A second panel section is overlapped on a first panel section in a crotch covering region of the diaper to form the feces retaining pocket. The crotch covering region is provided along transversely opposite side edges thereof with elastically stretch—and contractable leak-barrier cuffs. Inner side edges of the respective leak-barrier cuffs are bonded to the second panel section in the vicinity of a rear end of the second panel section lying in the crotch covering region.

Abstract: Here is disclosed a disposable wearing article in the article, an area of a rear waist region in which a core is present is divided into a first area and a second area. The second area is formed in its transversely middle zone with a through-hole extending through the core. A transverse flexural stiffness of the core lying in the second area is lower than a transverse flexural stiffness of the core lying in crotch region and the first area and proximal portions of leak-barrier sheets and longitudinal ends of elastic members are laid on the first area. The first area lies above the crotch region in a thickness direction of the article and the second area forms a barrier and a pocket.

Abstract: Here is disclosed a wearing article made of an elastically stretchable chassis defining a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region. This sheet is composed of a first elastic segment extending, substantially in parallel to peripheral portions destined to form leg-holes, from a transversely middle zone of the crotch region to lateral portions of the front and rear waist regions, and a second elastic segment defined by the remaining portion except for the first elastic segment wherein the first elastic segment has a stretch stress higher than that of the second elastic segment.

This wearing article is formed with a first elastic zone, a second elastic zone and third elastic zones respectively exhibiting stretch stress adjusted to be decreased in this order. An elastically stretchable web is continuously fed in a machine direction, formed with pairs of slits in desired patterns so that two slits constituting each of the pairs may be symmetrically laid about a transversely middle zone of the web and then folded in a cross direction orthogonal to the machine direction so that the web may be alternately overlapped on itself about the transversely middle zone to form the wearing article.

Abstract: An open-type disposable wearing article composed of a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region. These regions are all elastically stretchable. The article includes first and second stretchable zones respectively bifurcated at a transverse middle of the crotch region so as to extend to lateral zones of the front and rear waist regions, respectively, and third stretchable zones defined by zones other than the first and second stretchable zones. The first and second stretchable zones exhibit a stretch stress higher than a stretch stress of the third stretchable zones. Loop members are provided to the second stretchable zone in the lateral zones of the rear waist region and hook members are provided to the first stretchable zone in the lateral zones of the front waist region.
