  • Patent number: 11692822
Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to marine geophysical surveying. More particularly, embodiments relate to a wax application system for application of a wax coating to a surface of a streamer. An embodiment may comprise a marine geophysical survey system. The marine geophysical survey system may comprise a streamer and a wax application system operable to receive the streamer on deployment and apply a wax coating to the streamer as the streamer is being deployed from a survey vessel into a body of water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 21, 2017
Date of Patent: July 4, 2023
    Assignee: PGS Geophysical AS
Inventors: Christian Vasbø, Rune Tønnessen, Thomas Hauge, Par Johansson, Mikael Tuved, Kaj Andersson, Andreas Carlen

  • Patent number: 6257649
Abstract: A soft top for a vehicle, in particular a passenger vehicle, comprises a soft-top linkage which is mounted pivotably on soft-top supports on the body, the soft top being movable, by means of an actuating device, forwards from a rear storage position into a locking position situated above the windscreen frame. In order to provide a soft top in which, during the closing process, sufficient spring deflection is available, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, the forces for closing are kept low, provision is made that, during the closing process, the soft top is stopped, by the actuating device, in a premounted position above the locking position and is supported in this position by at least one spring-loaded stop.

  • Patent number: 5663619
Abstract: A sensor which is intended to detect the rotational position of a rotatable device, e.g. a shaft or a rotatable hatch, which is rotatable, preferably by a motor, incorporates a position detector and a potentiometer. To improve the potentiometer's accuracy within part of the relevant rotation range of the device, a cam mechanism is arranged between the potentiometer and the rotatable device.

  • Patent number: 4573931
Abstract: An outboard motor attachment assembly comprises two assembly parts which are pivotally connected together, of which assembly parts a first part is arranged to be firmly secured to the stern transom of a boat and the second assembly part is provided with a support section for carrying the outboard motor. The angular position of the second part in relation to the first part is controlled by a control device acting upon a lever arm whose pivotal movement is limited by a stop on the second assembly part.
