Abstract: Systems and methods for selecting a treatment regimen for a particular patient are provided. The treatment regimen is selected using a first data store including a first plurality of patient records for a first plurality of patients, and a second data store including efficacy rates of a plurality of treatment regimens against a plurality of infections and infection-causing pathogens. The system, or a user of the system, identifies a first infection of the particular patient and a first treatment regimen to be prescribed to treat the first infection. A second plurality of patient records is generated by identifying, in the first plurality of patient records of the first data store, patient records associated with diagnosis or treatment of the first infection. The second plurality of patient records are appended with efficacy rates for the first infection from the second data store.

Abstract: A method of configuring a medical device includes receiving first information characterizing a health condition of a patient. The method includes retrieving, from a model data storage device, a generic model, which receives, as an input, patient information, and provides, as an output, a generic configuration for a medical device. The method also includes generating based at least in part on the generic model and the health condition of the patient, a patient-specific model. The method also includes providing the first information to the patient-specific model to generate a patient-specific configuration for the medical device. The method also includes presenting a configuration recommendation. The configuration recommendation includes the generated patient-specific configuration. Related methods and articles of manufacture, including apparatuses and computer program products, are also disclosed.
