  • Patent number: 9462354
Abstract: Techniques and systems for operating a video ad exchange includes controlling an ad server to receive ad requests from viewer devices, provide ad responses to viewer devices, generate an ad delivery data file that includes information about delivery of ads to the viewer devices, and transfer the ad delivery data file to a distributed computing cloud. The technique further includes controlling an ad data infrastructure mechanism to download the cloud-based ad delivery data file into a local memory, and process the copied ad delivery data file to generate billing data. An ad data infrastructure mechanism receives a configuration file from the ad server, verifies that all items in the configuration file from the ad server were used in the generation of the first billing data, and removes non-verifiable items from the first billing data to generate a final billing data.

  • Publication number: 20150248680
Abstract: An opinion score for a customer associated with a service provider can be determined based on a first function. Parameters of the first function are determined are determined in conjunction with determining parameters of a second function that relates a first probability of a customer behavior event to the opinion score and a third function that relates a second probability of a customer action to an accumulation of the opinion score over a predetermined time interval. The parameters are determined based on one or more values representative of session performance associated with the customer, a measured value of the first probability, and a measured value of the second probability. The parameters are stored in a profile associated with the customer.

  • Patent number: 8699357
Abstract: Improved techniques are disclosed for detecting instability events in data communications systems that support inter-administrative domain (inter-domain) routing. For example, a technique for detecting an instability event in a communications system supporting inter-administrative domain routing includes the following steps. At an inter-domain router, one or more features are extracted from one or more messages obtained from at least another router in the communications system. The one or more extracted features include a path length feature, a path edit distance feature, or a combination thereof. Then, the inter-domain router detects whether an instability event has occurred in the communications system based on the one or more extracted features such that an action can be effectuated. By way of example, the one or more messages may include one or more border gateway protocol update messages and the inter-domain router may be a border gateway protocol router.
