  • Publication number: 20230289503
Abstract: A machine learning-based process includes identifying a first set of features that includes features of a reference implementation of a circuit design and features of a synthesized version of a modified version of the circuit design. A first classification model is applied to the first set of features, and the first classification model indicates a full implementation flow or an incremental implementation flow. The full implementation flow is performed on the synthesized version of the modified version in response to the first classification model indicating the full implementation flow, and the incremental implementation flow is performed on the synthesized version of the modified version in response to the first classification model indicating the incremental implementation flow. The full and incremental implementation flows generate implementation data that is suitable for making an integrated circuit (IC).

  • Patent number: 11714950
Abstract: Processing a circuit design includes stabilizing the circuit design by a design tool that performs one or more iterations of implementation, optimization assessment, optimization, and stability assessment until a threshold stability level is achieved. The design tool determines, in response to satisfaction of the threshold stability level, different strategies based on features of the circuit design and likelihood that use of the strategies would improve timing. Each strategy includes parameter settings for the design tool. The design tool executes multiple implementation flows using different sets of strategies to generate alternative implementations. One implementation of the alternative implementations nearest to satisfying a timing requirement is selected.

  • Patent number: 10839118
Abstract: A circuit design is partitioned into a plurality of partitions during a first synthesis by a computer processor. After modification of the circuit design, the computer processor determines changed partitions and unchanged partitions of the circuit design. The computer processor then determines dependent partitions of the changed partitions. The changed partitions and the dependent partitions are re-synthesized by the computer processor into respective re-synthesized partitions, and the computer processor then combines the respective re-synthesized partitions and the unchanged partitions into a complete synthesized circuit design in a memory.

  • Patent number: 10586005
Abstract: Incremental synthesis for changes to a circuit design can include synthesizing, using computer hardware, a first circuit design resulting in a partitioning of the first circuit design and a plurality of synthesized partitions of the first circuit design and, for a second circuit design that is a modified version of the first circuit design and based upon the partitioning of the first circuit design, determining, using the computer hardware, a partition of the second circuit design that differs from the first circuit design. The partition of the second circuit design can be technology mapped using the computer hardware resulting in a synthesized partition of the second circuit design.

  • Patent number: 7356747
Abstract: An all solutions automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) engine method uses a decision selection heuristic that makes use of the “connectivity of gates” in the circuit in order to obtain a compact solution-set. The “symmetry in search-states” is analyzed using a “Success-Driven Learning” technique which is extended to prune conflict sub-spaces. A metric is used to determine the use of learnt information a priori, which information is stored and used efficiently during “success driven learning”.
