    Abstract: Provided is a compressor capable of achieving a reduction in overall size and an improvement in vehicle mountability by using a linear motor. The compressor 1 comprises a linear motor 2 having a reciprocating mover 6, a compression unit 9 having a piston 11 connected to the mover 6 at one end side of the linear motor 2 so as to reciprocate and a cylinder 10 slidably accommodating the piston 11 to form a compression chamber 10B, and an air dryer 17 connected to a cylinder head 14 of the compression chamber 10B of the compression unit 9 and filled therein with a desiccant 17C. The air dryer 17 is disposed along the axis in the movement direction of the mover 6 the piston 11.

    Abstract: In an air suspension system, starting of a compressor is facilitated in a condition in which there exists a pressure difference. There is provided an air suspension system in which air compressed by a compressor is supplied to a plurality of air chambers provided between a vehicle body side and a wheel side and configured to perform vehicle height adjustment in accordance with the supply and discharge of air. The compressor has a needle connected to a piston and extending in a moving direction of the piston, and an armature reciprocating the needle in the moving direction of the piston.

    Abstract: This invention pertains to an air compressor having a cylinder head with an air supply passage communicating with a discharge hole. First and second exhaust passages are arranged in parallel between the air supply passage and an exhaust port. A pilot-operated switching valve is located at an intermediate position in the first exhaust passage. A solenoid-operated exhaust valve is located at an intermediate position in the second exhaust passage. The solenoid-operated exhaust valve is selectively opened or closed by an externally supplied electric current, thereby controlling a pilot pressure applied to a valving element of the pilot-operated switching valve. The valving element is rested on or separated from a valve seat by the pilot pressure. The compressed air discharge speed can be increased without increasing the size of the cylinder head, and vehicle height adjustment, for example, can be made in a reduced period of time.

The air supplied through the first passage returns through the same passage to dry the drying agent.
