Patent number: 9944098Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a data processing portion that creates image data that corresponds to printing of a predetermined unit, a transport portion that transports a printing medium, and a printing portion that executes the printing of the predetermined unit on the printing medium on the basis of the image data, in which the data processing portion determines whether or not the creation of image data precedes the printing, causes the printing portion to execute a first printing process for printing of a lower end portion of an image of a printing target in a case in which the creation of image data is precedent, and causes the printing portion to execute a second printing process for printing of the lower end portion in a case in which the creation of image data is not precedent.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2017Date of Patent: April 17, 2018Assignee: Seiko Epson CorporationInventor: Kanako Ide

Publication number: 20170274682Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a transport portion that transports a printing medium, a printing portion that executes printing on the printing medium, and a control portion that controls the transport portion and the printing portion, in which the transport portion is capable of executing overlapping transport, which transports a portion of a succeeding printing medium overlapped with a blank space on a lower end portion side of an image that is printed on the printing medium, and the control portion restricts the execution of the overlapping transport depending on the concentration of the lower end portion. The control portion does not cause the transport portion to execute the overlapping transport in a case in which the concentration of the lower end portion is a predetermined threshold value or more.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 15, 2017Publication date: September 28, 2017Inventor: Kanako IDE

Publication number: 20170051306Abstract: The invention provides a method to search for a best promoter for reliably targeting a cancerization-causing cell in human ES/iPS cells. Discovering a gene which can kill or remove a cancerization-causing cell contained in human ES/iPS cells with high efficiency is also provided. A method is provided for removing an undifferentiated cell, which remains after the differentiation of human ES/iPS cells into desired cells, with high efficiency and comprehensively. A viral vector is provided which includes a nucleotide sequence and a recombination cassette. The nucleotide sequence contains a target gene and a killing gene that are linked to each other through a sequence that enables the simultaneous expression of the two genes by one promoter. The recombination cassette contains a promoter region which is so linked as to enable the expression of the labeling gene and the killing gene. The viral vector may contain a promoter specific to an undifferentiated cell.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2015Publication date: February 23, 2017Inventors: Ken-ichiro Kosai, Kaoru Mitsui, Kanako Ide

Patent number: 9479676Abstract: A printer includes a liquid ejection section and a drive control section. The liquid ejection section is configured to eject a plurality of types of liquids and form dots having different sizes. The drive control section is configured to control a dot size of the liquids to be ejected by the liquid ejection section based on image data. When an image including a three-dimensional image in which a plurality of linear images are arrayed is printed on a medium, the liquid ejection section is configured to eject the liquids, at least in an end section area in an array direction of the linear images in a print area of the image, under a setting in which an ejection ratio of relatively small dots is set lower than in an inner area that is positioned more inward than the end section area.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2014Date of Patent: October 25, 2016Assignee: Seiko Epson CorporationInventors: Tomoyuki Nakano, Hiroshi Shirotori, Yoshiyuki Ozawa, Kanako Ide, Katsumi Yamada

Patent number: 8547571Abstract: In response to a print instruction of a specified print object image, the print control apparatus of the invention corrects print object image data representing the specified print object image with a preset correction parameter set for improving picture quality of the specified print object image and prints the specified print object image according to corrected print object image data. A print object image specification module of the print control apparatus specifies the print object image as a printing object. A preprocessing execution module of the print control apparatus performs predetermined preprocessing of the print object image data representing the specified print object image to set the correction parameter used for correcting the specified print object image.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2007Date of Patent: October 1, 2013Assignee: Seiko Epson CorporationInventors: Makoto Oyanagi, Kanako Ide

Patent number: 7907315Abstract: In a print control apparatus of the invention, it is assumed that preprocessing with regard to a print object image specified as an object of image processing is currently being performed by an advanced processing execution module, at an input timing of an image processing instruction in response to a print instruction. On condition that a processing amount of the preprocessing currently performed by the advanced processing execution module has reached a predetermined level, an image processor waits for completion of the preprocessing performed by the advanced processing execution module and implements a correction process by utilizing a result of the preprocessing performed by the advanced processing execution module.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2007Date of Patent: March 15, 2011Assignee: Seiko Epson CorporationInventors: Makoto Oyanagi, Kanako Ide
