  • Patent number: 8213775
Abstract: An information processing apparatus and method for providing images which coincide in reproduction time and atmosphere with BGM as a slideshow to a user. From sound data to be used for production of BGM, a head no-sound interval detection section detects a head no-sound interval and a tail no-sound interval detection section detects a tail no-sound interval while a tail fade-out interval detection section detects a tail fade-out interval. A play interval specification section specifies a play interval of the sound data other than the head and tail no-sound intervals, and an image content allocation section allocates photo album information and effect data to the play interval to produce vector data. A fade-out process setting section updates the vector data so that a fade-out process may be applied to images within the tail fade-out interval.

  • Patent number: 7801413
Abstract: An information processing device previously includes music options for use as a BGM, and these music options are each correlated to the details of an effect to represent the atmosphere matching the BGM. After a user selects a specific photo album storing still images for playback, and then a BGM, a playlist is created to define the order for playing back the still images stored in the photo album with the effect corresponding to the BGM. The present invention is applicable to equipment such as personal computers capable of handling still images, and therewith, effect-applied still images can be displayed easily and swiftly in a sequential manner.

  • Patent number: 7606469
Abstract: An information processing apparatus and method is disclosed wherein slideshow images can be reproduced for an arbitrary period of time. A scaling coefficient calculation section divides a slideshow reproduction time period by a selected effect total time period to calculate the ratio between them as a scaling coefficient and supplies the calculated scaling coefficient to a correction section. The correction section corrects the reproduction time period of each effect of a deletion result supplied from a deletion candidate deletion section or each selected effect supplied from an effect selection section using the scaling coefficient supplied from the scaling coefficient calculation section so as to make the total reproduction time period of the selected effects coincide with a slideshow reproduction time period. The invention can be applied to a personal computer or the like which can handle still pictures.

  • Publication number: 20060126088
Abstract: An information processing apparatus and method and a program are disclosed wherein a plurality of data can be successively outputted continuously and stably without a delay at output timings scheduled in advance without increasing the cost. When the number of image data whose status is “image decoding completed” is insufficient with respect to a request from an effect image processing section, that is, when the decoding process by a decoding processing section delays with respect to the progress of slideshow, an image data management section supplies image data whose status is “cache” and which have been outputted formerly to the effect image processing section again. The invention can be applied to various apparatus such as a personal computer which can handle still pictures.
