Abstract: An organogelling agent for forming reverse worm-like micelles having high safety to living bodies and the environment, favorable feel of use, and a high gelating ability and a thickened gel composition comprising the organogelling agent are provided. Lecithin and ascorbic acid or an ascorbic acid derivative act as an organogelling agent to form reverse worm-like micelles of a variety of oils. A thickened gel composition having a reverse worm-like micelle structure can be prepared with a ternary system of lecithin, ascorbic acid or an ascorbic acid derivative, and a variety of oils.

Abstract: Provided is a hair oil that spreads smoothly, gives a soft and light finish, and satisfactorily effectively imparts a moist feel, easiness of styling, and a glossy feel to the hair. The provided hair oil includes an oil-based gel-like composition including a gel-forming agent and an oil-phase component, in which: the gel-forming agent includes a lecithin; and at least one selected from a polyglycerol and a polyglycerol fatty acid ester in an amount (total amount) of from 5 to 100 percent by weight per 100 percent by weight of the lecithin; the polyglycerol has a degree of polymerization of from 2 to 20; and the polyglycerol fatty acid ester has a fatty acid residue having 14 or less carbon atoms, has an HLB of 15 or more as calculated based on an organic conceptual diagram, and has a degree of polymerization of from 8 to 40.

Abstract: Provided is a gel-forming agent that is easy to prepare and has all the properties including high safety for the living body and the environment, satisfactory gel-forming capability, comfortable feeling upon use, and good handleability. The gel-forming agent includes a lecithin, and a polyglycerol fatty acid ester in an amount of from 30 to 150 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the lecithin. The polyglycerol fatty acid ester has a fatty acid residue having 14 or less carbon atoms, has an HLB of 15 or more as determined based on an organic conceptual diagram, and has a degree of glycerol polymerization of from 8 to 40.

Abstract: There is provided a gel-forming agent which is easily prepared and has all of high safety in the living body and the environment, good gel-forming capability, excellent use feeling, and good handleability. The oil-based gel-like composition of the present invention comprises 1 to 30% by weight of a gel-forming agent and 70 to 99% by weight of an oil-phase component, the gel-forming agent being obtained by blending polyglycerin having a degree of polymerization of 3 to 20 in an amount of [6.8 Ln(X)+17] parts by weight to 27 Ln(X) parts by weight with 100 parts by weight of lecithin, where X denotes the degree of polymerization of the polyglycerin. The degree of polymerization of the polyglycerin is preferably from 3 to 10. The zero-shear viscosity determined by the viscosity and viscoelasticity measurement is preferably 50 Pa·s or more.
