    Abstract: In an aspect, an O-DU transmits a C-Plane message including a section description that specifies common PRB information associated with a plurality of RSs, the section description comprising a set of RS-specific section description extensions that each specify a PRB offset and a modulation scaling factor for a respective RS among the plurality of RSs. The O-RU processes the C-Plane message with modulation compression in accordance with the set of RS-specific section description extensions. In another aspect, a first O-RAN unit (e.g., O-DU or O-RU) transmits a message to a second O-RAN unit (e.g., O-RU or O-DU) associated with combining across symbols at an O-RU.

    Abstract: An O-RU may receive a PRACH preamble and a PUSCH within a plurality of symbols of a slot, the PRACH and the PUSCH having different numerology. The O-RU may filter a PUSCH CP for each symbol of the PRACH preamble through a FFT window per symbol of the PRACH preamble, the FFT window extending from the end of the PUSCH CP within a symbol to the end of the symbol, and perform FFT per the FFT window of each symbol of the PRACH preamble. The O-RU may extract I/Q data in frequency domain corresponding to the PRACH preamble, adjust phase shift of the extracted I/Q data to generate the I/Q data of the PRACH preamble accounting for shift of the each FFT window in time domain compared to FFT windows of PRACH CP filtered PRACH preamble and send the I/Q data of the PRACH preamble to an O-DU.

    Abstract: A distributing unit (DU) signals a maximum IQ data bitwidth for downlink communication associated with a section identifier (ID) to a radio unit (RU). The DU signals a bitwidth parameter to the RU for the downlink communication per a physical resource block (PRB). The DU transmits and the RU receives the downlink communication based on at least one of the maximum IQ data bitwidth or the bitwidth parameter for the PRB. For uplink communications, the DU transmits a first indication of a maximum IQ data bitwidth to the RU in a C-plane message. The RU transmits a second indication of a bitwidth parameter for the uplink communication per a PRB. The RU transmits and the DU receives the uplink communication based on at least one of the maximum IQ data bitwidth or the bitwidth parameter for the PRB.
