    Abstract: An electronic apparatus and method for configuration of an audio reproduction system is provided. The electronic apparatus captures a set of stereo images of the listening environment and identifies a plurality of objects, including a display device and a plurality of audio devices, in the set of stereo images. The electronic apparatus estimates first location information of the plurality of audio devices and second location information of the display device. Based on first location information and the second location information, the electronic apparatus identifies a layout of the plurality of audio devices. The electronic apparatus receives an audio signal from each audio device and determines a distance between each audio device of the plurality of audio devices and a user location based on the received audio signal. The electronic apparatus determines an anomaly in connection of at least one audio device and generates connection information based on the determined anomaly.

The sound data corresponds to sound emanated from one or more other vehicles. Thereafter, a relative position (distance and/or angle) of the first vehicle from a second vehicle of the one or more other vehicles is determined based on the received sound data. Further, an in-vehicle alert is generated for the first vehicle based on the determined relative position. The in-vehicle alert comprises a virtual sound representative of sound emanated from the second vehicle.

A signal processed by the DSP unit 4 is applied through a muting switch 5 to an output terminal 6. An input selector switch 7 is supplied with reproduced video signals from devices connected to input terminals 8, and supplies a signal to a graphic controller (GDC) 9 which generates a video signal to display an image. One of a signal generated by the GDC 9 and an original video signal are selected by a switch 10, and applied to an output terminal 11. The GDC 9 also generates an image simulating a control panel. When a key switch 13 is operated, the display corresponding to the operated key in the simulating image is varied.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of transmitting data and the like which are preferably applied to cases where different types or schemes of data are transmitted using a bus line, for example, an IEEE1394 bus line. Data of one sample is transmitted using multiple slots each having a data length of 32 bits. For example, when the data of one sample has 128 bits, data of one sample is transmitted using 8 slots. Each slot includes segmented 16 bits. The leading 8 bits of the 32-bit data constitute label data, with its lowest 3 bits indicating a slot number. Information regarding the number of data bits to be included in one slot is contained in the ancillary data. Data can be easily transmitted if the number of bits in the data of one sample exceeds the maximum bits by which the data can be transmitted using one slot.
