  • Patent number: 4571598
Abstract: A thermal head for a thermal printer or a thermal transfer printer wherein a substrate linearly formed with a plurality of heating elements and a control substrate for controlling generation of heat of the heating elements are mounted on different surfaces of a heat sink having a certain angle therebetween, whereby the printing mechanism can be simplified and compact in construction. Particularly, where the thermal head is applied to a multicolor recording apparatus, it is possible to increase the recording speed and miniaturize the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4487826
Abstract: A diazotype heat development recording medium of the present invention has excellent shelf life and heat sensitivity. The medium comprises a support and a recording layer which is formed on said support and which comprises a diazo compound, a coupler, an acid stabilizer, a thermal developer, and a polymeric binder. The thermal developer is a salt of an organic or inorganic acid having a primary dissociation constant of 2.times.10.sup.-1 to 1.times.10.sup.-4 and an alkyl-substituted guanidine represented by the general formula: ##STR1## (wherein at least one of R1 and R2 is an alkyl group of C.sub.8 to C.sub.24, and the other of R1 and R2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of C.sub.1 or more).

  • Patent number: 4448493
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrochromic display device having an electrochromic layer and a solid proton conductive layer between a transparent electrode and a counter electrode. The main component of the solid proton conductive layer is a mixture of at least one of titanic acid, stannic acid, antimonic acid, zirconic acid, niobic acid, tantalic acid and silicic acid. The response time is shortened, the service life is prolonged, and printing may be adopted for formation of cells.

  • Patent number: 4268158
Abstract: A dry planographic printing apparatus having a photosensitive plate feed mechanism for feeding a photosensitive plate which includes an electrically conductive support and a photoconductive layer formed on the support, the photoconductive layer includes a resin binder and a photoconductive powder dispersed in the binder. The printing apparatus includes mechanisms for charging the photosensitive plate without irradiation by light and then image-exposing the resultant photosensitive plate, and finally developing by use of a conductive toner and fixing of the conductive toner. The toner is transferred to a sheet of transfer material and is then fixed. A delivery mechanism is provided for delivering the transfer material having the fixed toner, and a plate take-out mechanism is provided for taking out the dry planographic printing plate after a predetermined amount of printing.

  • Patent number: 4175958
Abstract: This invention provides a dry planographic printing plate prepared by forming on an electrically conductive support a photoconductive layer composed of a binder and photoconductive powder dispersed in the binder, charging and then image-exposing a resultant photosensitive plate, and finally developing by means of a conductive toner and fixing the conductive toner. This invention also provides a dry planographic printing method including reversal-developing said printing plate by using a toner, transferring the toner to a sheet of transfer material, and then fixing the toner, as well as an apparatus used in said printing method.
