    Abstract: An air-fuel ratio of a gas mixture supplied to a vehicle engine is changed according to predetermined operating conditions. A throttle valve arranged in an intake passage to adjust an intake amount is electromagnetically controlled. If the air-fuel ratio is changed, the throttle opening characteristic for the accelerator position is changed, thereby preventing variations in engine output even if the air-fuel ratio is changed.
