    Abstract: A vertical drum is disposed upon and connected to a combustion chamber through a heat transfer wall. A burner opens in the combustion chamber to face the heat transfer wall and an exhaust tube is connected to the combustion chamber on the lower wall adjacent its periphery and extends horizontally below the drum until it communicates with the atmosphere.
