Abstract: An optical reproducing apparatus and method capable of adjusting a size of a menu view. An user input unit selects a predetermined menu view mode among a plurality of menu view modes displaying a standard menu view in different sizes. A storage stores an image information of the standard menu view corresponding to a standard mode among the plurality of the menu view modes. A menu view generator generates a menu view corresponding to the predetermined menu view mode selected by the user input unit based on the stored image information. An output unit outputs the generated menu view to a display device being connected. A controller controls the menu view generator to adjust a size of the standard menu view based on the image information if the selected menu view mode is one of an enlargement mode or a reduction mode. Accordingly, it is possible to adjust the size of the menu view in consideration of the screen size of the display device.

Abstract: A system and method for providing information stored on an audio storage medium are provided. Predetermined information including song title information stored on an audio storage medium is displayed upon a user's request using an audio storage medium on which song title information about audio data is stored, thereby providing more information to a user. The system includes a reading unit reading audio data recorded on an audio storage medium and additional information related to the audio data, a key inputting unit into which a key signal value is inputted according to a user's key selection, and a controlling unit selectively outputting a first menu mode in which the additional information including titles of songs stored on the audio storage medium is provided, or a second menu mode in which information stored on the audio storage medium is not provided, according to the key signal value inputted into the key inputting unit.

Abstract: A function control apparatus, which controls the functions of an image processing apparatus using a remote control, includes a remote control signal receiver receiving a remote control signal output from the remote control; a memory unit storing major function information and additional function information of the image processing apparatus; a controller causing the additional function information stored in the memory unit to be displayed and causing an additional function that is selected based on the displayed additional function information to be performed, in response to the remote control signal containing a request to display the additional function information; and a display unit displaying the additional function information controlled by the controller. The additional function information is displayed as on-screen-display (OSD) data.
