Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling power transmission in a power transmitter against overvoltage at a power receiver. The power transmitter receives a subscription request to subscribe to a wireless power network, from the power receiver. It is determined whether power transmission is available for the power receiver. The power receiver is informed that the power transmission is beginning, when the power transmission is available. The transmission power is increased and transmitted. It is determined whether a stop request to stop increasing voltage is received at the power transmitter from the power receiver. The increase of the transmission power is stopped when the stop request is received at the power transmitter. Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for detecting a non-intended object of power reception by a power transmitter. Power transmission for communication is performed, when the load change is sensed that has a value greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold. It is determined whether a subscription request, for subscribing to a network is received within a predetermined time period. The power transmission for communication is stopped when the subscription request is not received within the predetermined time period. Power is transmitted to a power receiver that has transmitted the subscription request, when the subscription request is received within the predetermined time period. It is determined whether a leakage power value exceeds an allowable range, when the power state report is received from the power receiver. The transmission of the power to the power receiver is stopped, when the leakage power value exceeds the allowable range.

  • Patent number: 8547197
Abstract: A bend-detecting (bending) sensor is provided, including a flexible substrate, at least a pair of electrode patterns spaced apart from each other provided on the flexible substrate, and a paste layer containing conductive particles. The paste layer is coated onto the flexible substrate where the electrode patterns are formed, such that when the flexible substrate is bent, the density of the conductive particles between the electrode patterns changes and an electric resistance between the electrode patterns also changes, thereby sensing deformation of the flexible substrate, and eventually, a target to which the flexible display element or the flexible substrate is attached. When the bending sensor is applied to the flexible display device, the electrode patterns and the paste layer may be formed on the flexible substrate which is to form the flexible display element, thus forming a bending sensing structure with a thickness of the flexible display element or less.
