    Abstract: A display device and an operating method thereof are provided. The display device includes a display panel, a connector, a controller and a multiplexer. The display panel is configured to simultaneously display a plurality of images of a plurality of external hosts. The connector is configured to connect at least one peripheral apparatus. The controller is coupled to the display panel, the connector and the external hosts, and configured to generate a control signal. The multiplexer is coupled between the controller, the connector and the external hosts, and configured to switch an access right of the at least one peripheral apparatus to one of the external hosts according to the control signal. The controller receives switching information from the external hosts and generates the control signal according to the switching information.

    Abstract: A color-calibration system is provided, which includes a host, a reference display apparatus, and a display apparatus. The host calculates peak-intensity change rates relative to different gain values for blue, green, and red colors using a first spectrum and second spectrum of a first display panel of the reference display apparatus respectively in a first display mode and a second display mode. The host calculates peak-intensity ratios for blue, green, and red colors using the first spectrum and a third spectrum of the first display panel in a predetermined color-temperature display mode. The host calculates blue/green/red gains of a second display panel of the display apparatus using a fourth spectrum of the second display panel in the first display mode, the peak-intensity change rates, and peak-intensity ratios, so that the first display panel and the second display panel display a consistent color in the same predetermined color-temperature display mode.

    Abstract: A method and a system for controlling a multimedia monitor are provided. The multimedia monitor has a central processing unit (CPU) and communicates with a computer system through a communication interface. The multimedia monitor displays images from the computer system when the multimedia monitor is in an external signal mode, and displays images generated by the CPU when the multimedia monitor is in a multimedia application mode. In the method, an input event is received by the computer system and an input command corresponding to the input event is transmitted to the multimedia monitor through the communication interface. After that, whether the input command belongs to a multimedia command set is determined by the multimedia monitor. If the input command belongs to the multimedia command set, an action corresponding to the input command under the multimedia application mode is executed by the multimedia monitor.
