    Abstract: Access to a wireless local area network (WLAN) is controlled by identifying a D3 system event. The wireless local area network device associated with the D3 system event is removed and the removal of the wireless local area network device is reported to a wireless local area network device manager. A driver of the wireless local area network device is unloaded and any remaining wireless local area network devices within the wireless local area network are powered down.
