  • Patent number: 11252291
Abstract: It is assumed that a user changed a set value of paper selection, which is one of setting items of various setting items, from “auto” to “A3”. According to one embodiment, a controller extracts history records in which the set value of the paper selection is “A3” from setting information history in a storage, and arranges them to the side of the various setting items in chronological order. Specifically, the controller displays three pieces of setting information, starting with the latest setting information, followed by older setting information, on the right side of the various setting items. In displaying the pieces of setting information, in order to clarify and highlight parts having discrepancies relative to the set values of the various setting items, the color may be changed, a box may be used to surround such a part, or characters may be displayed in bold.

  • Patent number: 11079982
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a CPU. When an error occurs, the CPU notifies a user or the like of the error and adds information about the error to an error table. When the error is resolved, the CPU deletes the information about the resolved error from the error table. The CPU refers to the error table and displays, on a display, a home screen in which a badge indicating the number of unresolved errors in each operation mode is displayed. When a mode selection button on which the badge is displayed is touched, the CPU re-notifies the user of the unresolved errors.

  • Patent number: 6493725
Abstract: Information processing devices each creates a dirty bit indicative of the presence or absence of update per tip in a sharing region, and updates the dirty bit in accordance with an operation on the tip. A synchronize processing section compares dirty bits of corresponding tips in a synchronous process so as to judge whether the tips have been updated in the both parties. When there is an update in the both parties, a priority side is decided in accordance with a predetermined rule, for example, such as the promoting side of the synchronous process before transmitting the entire contents of the tips.

  • Patent number: 5105029
Abstract: A lower alcohol, for example, ethyl alcohol, is recovered from a reaction mixture resulted from a reaction of catechol with a lower alcohol in such a manner that the reaction mixture is distilled and separated into a distilled light vapor fraction comprising non-reacted lower alcohol and water and a residual fraction comprising a reaction product and non-reacted catechol; the distilled light vapor fraction is further distilled and separated into a distilled vapor fraction comprising the lower alcohol in an increased concentration and a residual water fraction; the distilled vapor fraction is fed to a gas-separating membrane module which allows water vapor to selectively permeate therethrough, and separated into a non-permeated fraction which comprises the lower alcohol in a high concentration, which is left in the feed side of the membrane, and a permeated fraction which comprises water in a high concentration, which is returned from the delivery side of the membrane to the further distilling step, and the no

  • Patent number: 4978430
Abstract: An improved method for dehydration and concentration of an aqueous solution containing an organic compound is disclosed. The solution is evaporated to produce a gaseous mixture comprising an organic compound vapor and a water vapor. The water vapor is selectively removed from the gaseous mixture by permeation through an aromatic polyimide gas separation membrane while the gaseous mixture being kept in contact with a surface on one side of the gas separation membrane at a temperature of 70.degree. C. or higher to obtain a gaseous mixture comprising the organic compound vapor and a reduced amount of a water vapor.
