Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for providing media guidance are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving a request to browse through related content; receiving a plurality of content clips, wherein each content clip corresponds to a portion of a corresponding content item; causing a first content clip to be presented; in response to determining that presentation of the first content clip has been completed, causing a second content clip to be presented; receiving a user input indicating a user preference related to the second content clip; in response to receiving the user input, requesting a third content clip based on the user preference related to the second content clip; receiving the third content clip, wherein the third content clip has been identified based at least in part on metadata associated with the second content clip and metadata associated with the third content clip; and causing the third content clip to be presented.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an “activity assistant” and an “activity assistant user interface” that provides users with dynamically-selected “activities” that are intelligently tailored to the user's world. For example, a graphical UI includes selectable context elements, each of which corresponds to a user-attribute whose value provides a signal to the activity assistant. In response to selecting a parameter associated with at least one of the selectable context elements, a first signal is generated and provided to the activity assistant. In response to providing the signal, one or more activities are populated and ordered based, at least in part, on the signal, and subsequently displayed. The parameters may include a current mood of a user, a current location of the user, associations with other users, and a time during which the user desires to carry out the activity in some examples.

Abstract: Embodiments include a computer-implemented method that includes receiving a search query associated with a user, identifying a set of search results responsive to the search query, identifying one or more search results of the set of search results that correspond to one or more items previously identified by the user as being of interest to the user, ranking the set of search results to generate a ranked set of search results, the ranking including boosting the rankings of the one or more search results that correspond to one or more items previously identified by the user as being of interest to the user, and providing search result content for display via a graphical user interface, the search result content including the ranked set of search results.
