  • Publication number: 20220332577
Abstract: A compact lightweight air filtration system is disclosed. The air filtration system includes a hydrophobic particulate/coalescing filter and a cleanable ozone converter housed in a housing with an inlet and an outlet. Air flowing from the inlet to the outlet passes through the particulate/coalescing filter element and then the cleanable ozone converter to remove particulates, aerosols, liquids, and ozone. The air filtration system may comprise a fuel tank inerting system (FTIS) filter assembly. The FTIS filter assembly may include a binderless media (no binder) suitable for use in high temperatures. The FTIS filter assembly includes a catalytic converter configured to adsorb one or more VOCs, such as Toluene, Propylene Glycol (C3H8O2), Pentanoic Acid, Butane (C4H10), Formaldehyde (CH2O), and Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

  • Patent number: 7992723
Abstract: A filter includes filter media and a housing surrounding the media. The housing has an outlet and is sealed such that all fluid flow out of the outlet must first enter the cartridge and pass through the media. The housing has multiple inlet flow paths configured so that fluid impinging on the housing is diffused as it enters the cartridge and is prevented from flowing directly towards the filter media.

  • Patent number: 7942060
Abstract: Provided herein are devices and methods for mounting variously configured medical imaging probes for imaging applications. In one aspect, a holding device allows for interfacing/holding most conventional ultrasound probes such that the probes may be attached to a positioning device using a common interface. As ultrasound probes come in various sizes and lengths, the device may adjust to different lengths, widths and shapes of different probes. Hence, the device may work in a substantially universal manner while securely holding probes with little wobble or other problems.

  • Publication number: 20070023333
Abstract: An indicator device utilizes a pair of magnets to provide a missing-element indication. The indicator may be installed within a filter assembly such that, when a filter element is present, it urges a piston disposed towards the top of the indicator and one of the magnets to slide axially inwards through the indicator's housing and attract the second magnet. The latter then causes a button disposed at the bottom of the indicator to move axially inwards, such that no missing-element indication is provided. When the filter element is removed or is missing, the piston moves axially outwardly, thereby either reducing the force of attraction, or increasing the repulsive force, between the two magnets and causing the button to pop out through the indicator's bottom end and provide visual indication of a missing-element condition. The indication may also be provided as a remote electrical signal, which may be transmitted wirelessly.

  • Patent number: 6959819
Abstract: A filter assembly for filtering fluids which may be readily disassembled includes a perforated center tube assembly which is fluid-tightly connected at one end to an injection molded plastic head and is closed at its other end; an injection molded plastic bowl having one open end and a semi-closed second end; a disposable cylindrical plastic filter element adapted to fit within the plastic bowl and slip over the perforated center tube assembly in close proximity thereto but with no physical retention means between the plastic filter element and the center tube assembly. The assembly includes a releasable seal between the plastic filter element and the center tube assembly. The plastic head further includes an annular base provided with injection molded threaded fittings whereby it can be attached to a fluid supply and unfiltered fluid can flow into the plastic bowl and filtered fluid can flow out of the plastic bowl.
