Abstract: A decorative material, which can express uneven irregular shapes due to the differences in the surface gloss state even when the thickness thereof is thin and which is high in productivity and which includes a substrate; an expression region, which is a recess or a salient; a picture pattern on the substrate which corresponds to the expression region; and an ionizing radiation-curable resin layer; wherein the ionizing radiation-curable resin layer is provided in a vicinity of an outline of the picture pattern except immediately above the picture pattern so as to have a stepwise gradation in gloss conditions, and wherein a viscosity of the ionizing radiation-curable resin layer is 0.1 to 1 Pa·s.

Abstract: A decorative paper has a decorative paper base material, a sealer layer formed on the decorative paper base material and provided by an aqueous adhesive, a pictorial pattern layer formed farther from the decorative paper base material than the sealer layer and provided by an aqueous ink, and a surface protective layer as an uppermost layer. The surface protective layer has a matrix resin formed by curing of an ionizing radiation-curing monomer and an antifouling agent including a silicone oil contained in the matrix resin.

Abstract: An ordinary pattern and a liquid repellent pattern are formed on the base paper. The base paper is then impregnated with a thermosetting resin having a characteristic of being repelled by the liquid repellent pattern. A covering layer of the impregnated resin is formed by the thermosetting resin which has not been impregnated into the base paper and remains on the surface of the base paper. As the thermosetting resin for impregnation is repelled by the liquid repellent pattern, the covering layer of the impregnated resin is not formed on the liquid repellent pattern. The covering layer of the impregnated resin is formed so as to be thicker than the liquid repellent pattern. Due to this, a recessed portion is created at the portion where the liquid repellent pattern is formed.
