Patent number: 6948247Abstract: A cylindrical roller bearing or needle roller bearing for use with a rolling raceway surface is subjected to a carbonitriding treatment to produce a layer containing 30 to 80% retained austenite in the vicinity of its surface that contacts a carburized layer of a rolling raceway surface of a roller bearing. The amount of retained austenite of the surface layer of the roller bearing is increased by about 30%. The surface layer is then heat treated to apply a residual compression stress. The surface then receives surface finishing to produce micro concavo-convex portions in a random direction.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2000Date of Patent: September 27, 2005Assignee: Komatsu Ltd.Inventors: Osamu Kodama, Kaoru Hasegawa, Nobuaki Kawasaki

Patent number: 6580476Abstract: A liquid crystal display unit in which external vibration or impact is prevented from being applied directly to a housing member through mounting screws for fixing the liquid crystal display unit to an outer casing, so that the display quality of the display image displayed on a liquid crystal display device is improved. In a liquid crystal display unit having a backlight unit, mounting members having threaded holes into which mounting screws for fixing the liquid crystal display unit to an outer casing are screwed are provided between a side wall of a housing member of the backlight unit and a side wall of a frame member. Each of the mounting members is constituted by a first side and a second side. The first side has threaded holes and extends along the side wall of the housing member. The second side is fixed to the housing member.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2001Date of Patent: June 17, 2003Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventor: Kaoru Hasegawa

Patent number: 6499577Abstract: Hydraulic pressure is controlled, which has such advantages that a generation of peak pressure (shoot pressure) can be lowered, mis-operation due to biting of particles can be reduced, or the cost thereof can be reduced. First, a large amount inflow command current is supplied to a proportional solenoid from a time point t1 to a time point t2. Consequentially, pilot pressure rises in a pilot pressure receiving chamber, so that a pressure control valve allows a large amount of hydraulic fluid to flow in a clutch or brake cylinder. At this time, potential detected by a pressure switch becomes zero level. Next, at the time point t2, a filling command small current is supplied to the proportional solenoid, thereby decreasing the amount of hydraulic fluid, which flows from an input port to an output port. This state is maintained from the time point t2 to a time point t3.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2001Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: Komatsu Ltd.Inventors: Hiroaki Kitamoto, Kaoru Hasegawa, Kenjiro Shimada
