  • Publication number: 20010009935
Abstract: An impact resistant acrylic polymer pellet comprising an acrylic multi-layer polymer having at least one rubber-like elastomer layer (&agr;) as an inner layer and having a rigid polymer layer (&bgr;) as an outermost layer which is containing methyl methacrylate as a main component, wherein the proportion of parts insoluble in acetone including the polymer of the rubber-like elastomer layer (&agr;) is from 70 to 97% by weight per unit weight of the pellet, and a method for producing the same are disclosed. The pellet is excellent in handling property, and has high content of a rubber-like elastomer.

  • Patent number: 5689193
Abstract: Probes include proximal ends electrically connected to the respective conductive patterns of said insulating substrate, and free ends for being contact with the respective electrode pads of the object. The probes can be buckled in such a manner that the free ends are brought into contact with the respective electrode pads of the object under a predetermined contact pressure. Probes are formed from a wire for wire bonding by means of a wire bonder, and include proximal ends wire-bonded to each corresponding conductive patterns on the insulating substrate, and free ends formed by being cut after the wire is wire-bonded to a dummy substrate.

  • Patent number: 5594713
Abstract: An optical pickup head apparatus comprising: a light source; an imaging optics for receiving a linearly polarized light beam emitted from the light source, and converges it on a small spot on an information medium; photodetector units for receiving the light beam being reflected and diffracted at the information medium and output electric signals corresponding to received light quantities; a liquid crystal hologram consisting of a pair of transparent substrates, a liquid crystal sandwiched therebetween through a pair of transparent electrodes, either of the transparent electrodes being formed with a hologram pattern; and a Faraday rotator for rotating a polarized direction of light beam by 45 degrees in a light path leading from the light source to the information medium and, further, rotates the polarized direction of the light beam by 45 degrees in its opposite light path.

  • Patent number: 5521252
Abstract: Acrylic multilayer polymer powders containing coagulated powders of emulsified latexes of acrylic multilayer polymers, which are suitable for drying methods using pressure dehydration extruders, etc, comprises not more than 40 wt % of a fine powder of a particle size of 212 .mu.m or less after drying, and have a volume of gaps of a pore size of 5 .mu.m or less after drying of not more than 0.7 cc per unit weight as measured by a mercurial pressure method. A desired monomer is subjected to emulsion polymerization to produce an emulsified latex of an acrylic multilayer polymer, which is then poured into a coagulating solution for coagulation.

  • Patent number: 5313543
Abstract: A second harmonic generation device has a waveguide layer for generating and outputting a second harmonic wave ray in response to the laser light from a laser, wherein the returning of reflected laser light from the waveguide layer to a laser is prevented. The returning of reflected laser light is prevented: by inclining a normal of at least one of a first and second end facets of the waveguide layer from an optical axis of the laser; by providing an absorbing layer on the waveguide layer for absorbing waveguided laser light and for waveguiding the generated second harmonic wave ray; or by providing a second waveguide layer for waveguiding and outputting the generated second harmonic wave ray and for radiating the waveguided laser light. The absorbing layer is provided by a blue filter adhered or deposited on the top surface of the waveguide layer. The second waveguide layer is provided by making the second waveguide layer more narrow that the waveguide layer.
