  • Publication number: 20030183143
Abstract: A sewing machine includes a needle bar driving mechanism for vertically moving a needle bar by rotation of a main shaft, a needle thread take-up driving mechanism for vertically moving a needle thread take-up by rotation of the main shaft in phase with vertical movement of the needle bar, a mounting member on which the needle bar driving mechanism and the needle thread take-up driving mechanism are mounted, and a machine frame supporting the mounting member. The mounting member has two sides provided on the left and right of the needle bar driving mechanism and the needle thread take-up driving mechanisms respectively. The mounting member is supported in one of the sides by the main shaft, a rotating shaft rotated with the main shaft or a bearing member for the main shaft or the rotating shaft so that the mounting member is rotated relative to the machine frame and the main shaft or the rotating shaft.

  • Publication number: 20030154893
Abstract: A sewing machine frame having a reinforced structure providing a bed portion, a tower portion upstanding from the bed portion and an arm portion extending from the tower portion at a position above the bed portion. The frame is made from a synthetic resin and includes a main frame body and a frame cover attached to the main frame body. The main frame body includes a back panel wall having a first peripheral edge, and a first side wall integrally protruding from the first peripheral edge. The first side wall has a part defining a concaved wall surrounded by the bed, tower and arm portions. First couplings are provided at the back panel wall and are positioned along the concaved wall. The frame cover includes a front panel wall having a second peripheral edge, and a second side wall integrally protruding from the second peripheral edge. The second side wall has a part defining a complementary concaved wall at a position corresponding to the concaved wall of the first side wall.

  • Publication number: 20030066467
Abstract: a sewing machine frame for a sewing machine including an integral frame member, and reinforcing ribs. The integral frame member is made from a synthetic resin and provides an outer surface defining an external shape and an inner surface providing an internal space. The integral frame member includes a bed portion, a tower portion upstanding from the bed portion, and an arm portion extending from the tower portion in a cantilevered fashion. The reinforcing ribs are provided at substantially entire area of the inner surface for reinforcing the integral frame member.

  • Publication number: 20030066466
Abstract: A sewing machine frame having reinforced structure for use in a sewing machine is disclosed. The sewing machine frame has a frame member formed of a synthetic resin and having a bed portion, a tower portion upstanding from the bed portion, and an arm portion extending from the tower portion at a position above the bed portion, the bed portion, the tower portion and the arm portion being formed integrally and providing a concaved peripheral wall defining a stitch working space. The sewing machine frame is characterized by a peripheral wall reinforcing rib protruding from the frame member, the peripheral wall reinforcing rib extending along the peripheral wall and ranging at least from a boundary between the bed portion and the tower portion to a boundary between the tower portion and the arm portion.

  • Patent number: 5058401
Abstract: In the machine of this invention, a rotation-support member is provided in an outer tub for containing water so that the rotation-support member can rotate about a vertical axis. The rotation-support member supports a perforated inner tub rotatable about a horizontal axis. A heating means heats air in the inner tub. When the laundry is washed or rinsed, the laundry is loaded in the inner tub, water is supplied to the outer tub until the water reaches inside the inner tub, and the inner tub is rotated about the horizontal axis. The laundry is prevented from jumping out of the inner tub during the washing and rinsing process due to boards or net provided in the inner tub. When the washed or rinsed laundry is dehydrated, water is drained from the outer tub, the rotation-support member and the inner tub are rotated together about the vertical axis in the same direction at the same high speed.
