  • Patent number: 4887116
Abstract: A light-sensitive material feeding rack for feeding a light-sensitive material along a feeding path within a processing tank by holding the material between paired feed rollers. The rack has guide plates extending along the feeding path for guiding the material to the light-sensitive material entrance side of the paired feed rollers. These guide plates are each rotatable about the ends thereof that are closer to the light-sensitive material entrance side. When the rack is to be cleaned, the guide plates are rotated so as to open the interior of the rack, thereby facilitating the cleaning of the rack. After the completion of cleaning, the guide plates are rotated in the opposite direction to be returned to their original condition. Even after the returning of the guide plates, the positional relationship between the feed rollers and the end portions of the guide plates that are closer to the entrance side can be very precisely maintained.

  • Patent number: 4693016
Abstract: A drying apparatus for drying photographic paper includes a rotary drum and a duct having a recess which is provided with air outlet bores. A photographic paper passing area is defined between the outer periphery of the drum and the recess of the duct. The warm air blown out of the air outlet bores presses the side (the reverse side) of the photographic paper which is opposite to the emulsion layer side thereof against the outer periphery of the rotary drum, thereby maintaining the emulsion layer side of the paper in a non-contact state while the paper is being transported. The rotary drum is provided with bores through which the warm air is sucked in so as to suction-hold the photographic paper on the outer periphery of the rotary drum, whereby the photographic paper is also heated from the reverse side thereof.

  • Patent number: 4662554
Abstract: A clip 12 is engaged with the leading end portion of a photosensitive material 10 of continuous length which has been printed with images. The clip is propelled by a driving force to convey the photosensitive material. In a clip removing device 56, rotating arms 66 bend the leading end portion of the photosensitive material in the direction of the thickness thereof such that the leading end portion is disengaged from the clip. The photosensitive material is then fed by rollers 72, 74, 80, 82 to a subsequent stage 87 where it is cut off.

  • Patent number: 4564999
Abstract: A film handling mechanism for receiving a film and spool ejected from a film cartridge and for forwarding the film to a subsequent film processing station. Film guide members are movable to form an opening having a diameter substantially equal to the inside diameter of the film receiver when a film is received in the receiver, and then set to a diameter suitable for holding the spool of the film after the film has been completely received in the film receiver. A pair of shafts is used for ejecting the film and spool from the film cartridge and transferring it into the film receiver.

  • Patent number: 4555076
Abstract: A film handling device for pulling out and forwarding a leader from a spool of film after the film has been removed from a film cartridge. The spool of film is held in a film guide having an arcuately formed rear portion shaped to receive the spool of film and a forward guide portion composed of straight sections converging towards a forwarding opening. A pair of film forwarding rollers are selectively engageable with the spool of film through cuts formed in the rear portion of the film guide. A detector positioned in the forward portion of the film guide detects the presence of the film leader. Before the presence of the film leader is detected, the film forwarding rollers rotate the spool of film in the film rewinding direction. Then, the direction of the rollers is reversed.

  • Patent number: 4540456
Abstract: A film processing method for removing troubled film strips from a series of film strips to which it is spliced for processing. The troubled film strip is removed by cutting along a line located inwardly of a leading end of the troubled film strip by a distance at least equal to the width of a splicing tape from a center line of the splice between the leading end of the troubled film strip and a preceding film strip such that a part of the troubled film strip remains connected to the preceding film strip. A succeeding film strip, or another film strip, is then spliced to the remaining part of the troubled film strip.

  • Patent number: 4295115
Abstract: A semiconductor absolute pressure transducer assembly has a silicon diaphragm assembly and a covering member. The silicon diaphragm assembly has a circular pressure sensitive diaphragm, on the surface of which are diffused piezoresistors and conducting paths. The covering member composed of borosilicate glass has a circular well formed therein. On the surface of the silicon diaphragm assembly on which the piezoresistors and the conducting paths are diffused, a passivating layer of silicon dioxide is deposited. Further on the passivating layer, a conductive layer is formed by, for example, evaporating silicon. And the glass covering member is bonded on the silicon diaphragm assembly by anodic bonding. Namely, the silicon diaphragm assembly and the glass covering member are heated up to a certain high temperature and a relative high voltage applied across the conductive layer of the silicon diaphragm assembly and the glass covering members.
