  • Patent number: 5822115
Abstract: Binoculars having a fixed lens mount, a movable lens mount which is movable straight in a direction as approaching or moving away from the fixed lens mount to adjust their distance to viewer's eyes, a cover member for concealing a space formed between the fixed lens mount and the movable lens mount in accordance with a moving state of the movable lens mount. To the fixed lens mount is attached a first guide engaging with the movable lens mount to slidably guide the movable lens mount as well as a second guide engaging with the cover member so that the cover member is slidable along the second guide together with the movement of the movable lens mount. The binocular further includes a focus adjusting system between both lens mounts to move an objective lens incorporated in each lens mount in a direction of an optical axis, and an erect prism unit including a roof prism in each lens mount.

  • Patent number: 5005906
Abstract: A reclining device for vehicle seats utilizes a differential reduction gear (A) and a small size high speed motor (27) as a drive source, wherein one gear (10) having a plurality of slots (15) positioned radially outwardly from the axis of the gear is between another gear (16) having a corresponding number of slots (20) in alignment with the slots (15) in the one gear and a bracket (22) associated with the other gear (16) and held in position by rivets (12,21) through the aligned slots in the two gears to thereby regulate the adjustment range of the reclining angle. The motor output shaft (27a) and reduction gear (A) are connected by a resilient joint (35), a resilient member (32) is interposed between the motor and coupling (33) or between the coupling and reduction gear (A) to prevent oscillation and noise, and a coiled spring (43) acts on one end of the worm shaft (30a) of the reduction gear to prevent play between a worm (30 ) and worm gear (29).

  • Patent number: 4295224
Abstract: Tuning indicator apparatus is provided for use with a frequency synthesizer tuner of the type having a phase-locked loop including a reference oscillator, a variable frequency oscillator to produce a local oscillating signal, a programmable frequency divider coupled to the variable frequency oscillator for dividing the frequency of the local oscillating signal by a variable dividing ratio to produce a frequency-divided oscillating signal, a phase comparator for comparing the frequency-divided oscillating signal to the output of the reference oscillator to produce an error signal, and a feedback circuit for feeding back the error signal from the phase comparator to the variable frequency oscillator to adjust the frequency of the local oscillating signal and thereby establish a tuning condition of the tuner. The tuning indicator apparatus includes a counter for counting counter pulses supplied thereto, the count of this counter determining the dividing ratio of the programmable frequency divider.

  • Patent number: 4170760
Abstract: A radio signal receiver having a demodulator circuit with a variable local oscillator is provided with a station selector including a record medium for storing frequency selection information at spaced locations thereon, a conversion circuit for reading the frequency selection information at a selected location by aligning that location with a reading assembly and converting the respective information into a signal for determining the output frequency of the local oscillator, and a signal generating circuit responsive to a lack of alignment of the reading assembly with a location at which frequency selection information is recorded for generating a signal indicating that such lack of alignment exists and which may be effective to cause muting of the output of the demodulator circuit.

  • Patent number: 4041334
Abstract: A control circuit includes two full-wave rectifiers connected to an AC power source to produce two rectified outputs having different phases with respect to each other, a combining circuit for combining the two rectified outputs to produce a composite output, and a switching means controlled by the composite output. The switching means generates a control signal nearly at the same time that the AC power supply is switched on or off. The control signal is used to energize a device at a delayed time after the AC power supply is switched on, and to de-energize the device substantially at the same time that the AC power supply is switched off.
