  • Patent number: 11864176
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques of allocating time resources (or slots) based on a flexible pattern that allows allocation of a set of non-continuous time slots resources in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) system. In one example, the aggregation pattern may be indicated via a single downlink control information (DCI) message that carries explicit information regarding non-continuous time slot allocation. Features of the present disclosure may also include techniques to allow for early termination of transmission between the first node and the second node when the receiver (e.g., second node) successfully receives the data channel before the end of aggregated transmission. In such situation, the first node and the second node may cease transmission after reception of an acknowledgement (ACK) message that may allow the second node to utilize the subsequent time slots for communication with its own children on the next hop (e.g., third node).

  • Patent number: 11864224
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may identify a first set of resources for an access link communication between the first UE and a base station. The UE may identify a second set of resources for a sidelink communication between the first UE and a second UE. The UE may identify a scheduling conflict between the first set of resources for the access link communication and the second set of resources for the sidelink communication. The UE may drop at least a portion of the first set of resources for the access link communication or the second set of resources for the sidelink communication based at least in part on the identification of the scheduling conflict and a prioritization rule. • Patent number: 11864167
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a first quantity of physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) transmissions to be transmitted in a slot fails to satisfy a condition that is based at least in part on a maximum quantity of PSFCH transmissions the UE can concurrently detect. The UE may identify, among the PSFCH transmissions to be transmitted in the slot, a subset of the PSFCH transmissions to be detected. For example, the subset of the PSFCH transmissions to be detected may include a second quantity of the PSFCH transmissions that satisfies the condition. Accordingly, the UE may monitor, during the slot, a PSFCH for the subset of the PSFCH transmissions. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20230421240
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques support communication between one or more network entities and user equipment (UEs) via configurable intelligent surfaces. A first UE may transmit, to a second UE associated with a set of configurable intelligent surfaces, first information that indicates a tracking period and a data period that the second UE is to use to manage the configurable intelligent surfaces. The second UE may adjust the configurable intelligent surfaces for the communications between the first UE and network entities during the tracking period and the data period. The second UE may adjust the configurable intelligent surfaces based on measurement reports generated by the first UE based on communication during the tracking and data periods.

  • Publication number: 20230413238
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining shared resources associated with one or more user equipments (UEs) for sidelink communications, including control resources and data resources. A first UE may transmit a sidelink request to reserve a subset of data resources to a second UE, and may monitor for one or more sidelink responses indicating a positive sidelink response to the sidelink request, a negative sidelink response to the sidelink request, or both. The second UE may transmit a positive sidelink response if it is available for a data transmission. A third UE may transmit a negative sidelink response if it objects to the data transmission. The first UE may determine, based on monitoring for the one or more sidelink responses, whether to transmit a sidelink confirmation indicating a reservation of the subset of the data resources to the second UE.

  • Patent number: 11849394
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a vehicle (V-UE) broadcasts multi-phased ranging signals with which other entities may determine the range to the V-UE. The multi-phased ranging signals may include a first message, which may be broadcast in the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) spectrum, includes ranging information, such as a source identifier, location information for the broadcasting V-UE, and an expected time of broadcast of the ranging signal. The ranging signal may then be broadcast at the expected time and may include the source identifier. A second message, which be broadcast in the ITS spectrum, may include clock error information for the V-UE. A receiving entity may determine the range to the V-UE based on the time of arrival of the ranging signal and the expected time of transmission, as well as the clock error information. The receiving entity may further generate a position estimate based on the received location information.

  • Publication number: 20230403733
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support configuring a user equipment (UE) operating in unlicensed spectrum with a set of component carriers (CCs) for sidelink communications using the unlicensed spectrum. In a first example, a UE may select a CC from the set of candidate CCs, for example, using a carrier selection configuration, and may select a resource in the CC for a sidelink communication. In a second example, a UE may select multiple candidate resources for a sidelink communication, for example, using a resource selection configuration and based on sensing performed by the UE. To indicate the reservation of a candidate resource, the UE may indicate both a CC in which the reserved resource is located and a location of the reserved resource within the carrier. The UE may transmit a sidelink message using a selected candidate resource in the unlicensed spectrum.
