Abstract: A crucible for growing silicon ingots may include a vessel having a bottom wall and side walls surrounding an inner portion of the vessel. A coating layer is applied to inner surfaces of the bottom wall and the side walls, the coating layer including a temperature-resistant material compatible with ingot growth from molten silicon such as silicon nitride. A patterned protrusion layer is applied at the inner surface of the bottom wall, which includes a matrix consisting of a temperature-resistant material compatible with ingot growth from molten silicon such as silicon nitride. Furthermore, the patterned protrusion layer includes particles of a nucleation enhancing material such as silica, the particles locally protruding from the matrix. The protruding particles may generate a pattern of multiple nucleation points during crystal growth of the ingot. Due to such multiple nucleation points, a dislocation density defect propagation towards a top may be reduced during crystal growth such that, e.g.

Abstract: There is provided a portable storage container with cable management functionality, including: a case constructed from a rigid material with a first extent and a second extent in an adjacent relationship therewith, the first and second extent each defining an interior space for the placement of at least one speaker driver in at least one extent, the at least one speaker driver being connected through a cable with a connector, rear portions of the first and second extent being pivotally coupled together, at least one extent having an extended rim along an edge of the interior space, the rim defining a groove along the edge of the interior space, the groove being used for aligning the cable, and a fastener for fastening edges of the first and second extent. The fastener may feed the cable into the groove when fastening the edges of the first and second extent. A corresponding method for managing at least one cable in a portable storage container is also disclosed.

Abstract: A satellite speaker system includes a side firing low mid driver mounted in a sub-enclosure which is vented into a second sub-enclosure through an acoustic resistance vent and to a third sub-enclosure through a variable aperture second vent. The vents further serve as pivots to allow the side-firing speaker to be rotated through a predetermined range, simultaneously varying the aperture of the second vent. The pivots are isolated by 0-rings to provide an airtight seal to the sub-enclosures, as well as to provide vibration control. Third, fourth and fifth resistively damped vents allow the first and second sub-enclosure to establish acoustic communication with the environment. The front firing driver/s that reproduces the mid and high frequencies are mounted in a fourth sub-enclosure.
