    Abstract: A color display tube having a quadrupole post-focusing color selection electrode comprising a metal plate having a very large number of apertures, one side of the plate being covered with an insulating film on which a metal film is provided. The insulating film and metal film extend on two opposite portions of the wall of each aperture so that the plate and metal film form a pair of electrodes for producing an electron lens in the apertures.
