    Abstract: The present invention provides an all-natural, non-chemically modified supplement for increasing the growth and/or crop yield of fungi in a growth medium comprising corn gluten meal having a particle size range of from about 10 to about 40 mesh, having a moisture content of less than about 10% and having a protein content of about 60% or greater of the total weight percent of the corn gluten meal. The present invention also provides processes for preparing the nutrient supplement, compositions containing the nutrient supplement and media and processes for growing fungi.
