Abstract: A computer system includes a computer having a CPU with a memory for storing program instructions executable by the CPU. The system includes a database having predetermined operating system operations and program operation conditions and corresponding output signals. The CPU compares encountered operating system operations and program operation conditions with the predetermined data and energizes a speaker with respective output signals to emit respective sounds. A doll character separate from the PC includes a microphone for receiving speaker-emitted sounds and a control unit having a memory for storing predetermined sounds and corresponding action signals. Upon recognizing a received sound as matching a predetermined sound, the control unit energizes connected output devices with respective action signals. The output devices include servo-motors for manipulating portions of the doll character, light sources, and a sound generator.
