Abstract: A tree stand for supporting a hunter, outdoorsman, cameraman or the like at an elevated position upon a tree trunk. The stand includes tree-engaging extensions which support a longitudinal subframe spaced from the tree. Mounting extensions are provided for a platform and seat. The platform and seat are independently pivotal between extended and retracted positions. In the retracted positions the seat and platform are over top dead center to be gravity biased against the stationary framework.
