Abstract: A container (4) is restrained from movement in a given direction out from a set position. A restraint member (32) is located at one side of the path of the container (4) and is pivoted by the container (4) when the container (4) is moved into and out from the set position. The restraint member (32) is biased in an unlocked center position. After the container (4) is moved into its set position, the resistraint member (32) is prevented from returning all the way to its unlocked center position and is held in a blocking position by contact between a reciprocating detent (62) and a shoulder (54), one of which is carried by the member (32). The apparatus (2) is unlocked by manually retracting the detent (62) away from the shoulder (54). This allows the restraint member (32) to return to its unlocked center position.
