    Abstract: Antibodies specific for Insulin-like growth factor I receptor (IGF-IR) are provided. The antibodies and fragments thereof may block binding of IGF-I to IGF-IR. Antagonist antibodies can be employed to block binding of IGF-I to IGF-IR or substantially inhibit IGF-IR activation. The IGF-IR antibodies may be included in pharmaceutical compositions, articles of manufacture, or kits. Methods of treating cancer, inflammation, and pathological liver conditions, using the IGF-IR antibodies are also provided.
