Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for the detection of a device that may be in the presence of a video camera and may be sending and receiving signals within a local network. The device may be inside or outside the video camera's field of view. The camera or associated network device such as a router may discover the device in the periphery of or outside the field of view of the camera by detecting transmissions from the device, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular or other wireless transmissions. The video camera may determine identifying information for the device from the transmissions and may store and transmit for analysis the information along with captured video.
