  • Patent number: 7440394
Abstract: A new feature for a network element or a router is described herein. The feature is implemented in the router as a route manager object. The first function of the feature is realized by trapping routing messages that any process like routing daemon or the route manager object sends to the input/output manager and sends them forward to an appropriate function. The second function of the feature is realized by copying the routing messages from an active unit to another instance of the route manager running in the spare unit.

  • Patent number: 7381295
Abstract: Virgin stock is conducted to a paper or board machine and further to a centrifugal cleaner installation (12) into its first centrifugal cleaner step (12a1). From the first centrifugal cleaner step (12a1) the accept is conducted into a multi-layer headbox (10) to form a layer of the web determined according to the concerned fraction. From a second step (12a2) and/or from lower steps (12a3, 12a4 . . . ) of the centrifugal cleaner installation (12) a second fraction or more fractions are conducted into the multi-layer headbox (10) to form a second layer or other layers of the web, which are determined according to the pulp fractionation taking place in the concerned second step or lower steps.

  • Publication number: 20080121360
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a layered paper or board web, in which method thick stock (M) delivered to the paper machine is diluted with tail water and the diluted stock (M1) is fractioned in order to produce two different stock fractions (A,B). The first stock fraction (A), with finer material, is conducted into the surface layer or layers of the web, and the second stock fraction (B), containing coarser material, is conducted into the middle layer or layers of the web. Before feeding into a headbox (15), the coarse stock fraction (B) is diluted with water whose consistency is substantially lower than the consistency of the water added into the thick stock (M) before fractionating. When water containing less solids than the normal tail water dilutes the coarse stock fraction, the stock fractions used for different web layers can better maintain their different properties, which improves the result of layering.

  • Publication number: 20050099940
Abstract: The invention describes a new feature for a network element or a router (IP-NIU). The feature is implemented in said router as a route manager object (RIISTA). The first function of the feature is realised by trapping the routing messages that any process like routing daemon or the route manager object sends to the input/output manager and sending them forward to the appropriate function. The second function of the feature is realised by copying the routing messages from the active unit (IP-NIU WO) to the other instance of the route manager (RIISTA_SL) running in the spare unit (IP-NIU SP).

  • Patent number: 6514379
Abstract: A procedure for arranging water circulations in an integrated paper mill, the paper making process of which having three partly separate process phases concerning the water circulations (I, II, III). In the first phase, the fiber raw material is pretreated, defibered and cleaned for producing mechanical, chemi-mechanical and recycled pulp, in the second phase the pulp is treated further for improving the quality, and in the third phase it is made into paper or board. The circulation waters of the first process phase are concentrated by circulating the filtrates of the concentration and pressing phases counter-current inside the water circulation (I), and the circulation water thus concentrated is conducted into an effluent evaporation plant to be concentrated and then burnt in a combustion boiler. The water quantity discharged from the water circulation (I) of the first process phase is replaced by conducting such circulation waters of the paper mill into the front dilution of the press.

  • Patent number: 5002743
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the removal of sulfur dioxide from hot flue gases (8) which have been obtained by burning a sulfur-containing substance (4) in a boiler (1). In the process, a substance (6), such as lime or limestone, which reacts with sulfur dioxide to form a solid product is fed into the boiler or into the reaction zone (2) subsequent to the boiler, the hot flue gases (8) are cooled in the reaction zone (2) by feeding into it at maximum such an amount of water as the hot flue gases are capable of evaporating, and the substantially dry solid products are separated (3) in the form of dust (10) from the cooled flue gases. According to the invention, the flue gases (11) thus obtained are scrubbed (13) with an alkaline aqueous solution (15) in order to remove the remaining sulfor dioxide and dust from the flue gases, and part (9') of the cycled scrubbing solution (9) is fed into the boiler (1) or the reaction zone (2) in order to evaporate the water from this solution.

  • Patent number: 4927613
Abstract: A process for causing gaseous trace element particles to pass from a flowing hot gas into a fine particulate material by means of water. A mixture of the hot gas and water drops is caused to flow substantially upwards at such a velocity that the water drops remain in the gas flow and for a period long enough for most of the mass of the water drops to evaporate in order to cool the gas and to increase its relative humidity. After the gases have reached their wet temperature, they are brought into a turbulent state in order to cause the dust particles and the water drops which have decreased through evaporation to impinge against each other in order to produce in the aqueous film which covers the dust particles an exothermal ion reaction between the gaseous water-soluble trace element particles and the fine particles. Thereafter, the mixture is caused to flow further in order to evaporate the remaining water by means of the heat of reaction so that a dry end product is obtained.

  • Patent number: 4891170
Abstract: A nozzle assembly includes at least one nozzle (1) for the injection of liquid moistening medium into a flow of flue gas, especially in view of cooling the flue gas, and a body (2) for directing the moistening medium to the nozzle. Nozzle (1) and body (2) are essentially disposed in a flue-gas flow duct or the like. In the flue-gas flow duct is fitted a housing (3) which essentially surrounds nozzle (1) and body (2). Housing (3) ia provided with an an aperture (10), which can be closed by a closing means (9) and through which a jet of moistening medium passes into a flow of flue gas.
