  • Patent number: 11512431
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for forming a three-layer board web, preferably a folding box board (FBB) or a solid bleached (sulfate) board (SBS), in a forming section (300) comprising a multilayer headbox (100) and a forming unit (200). In the method the layers of the three-layer board web are first formed of pulp suspension in the multilayer headbox (100) and fed to only one forming unit (200), a gap former where the pulp suspension from the multilayer headbox is fed to a gap between lower and upper wires for water removal and for joining the layers of the three-layer board web and where water is first removed by a non-pulsating forming shoe (37, 39).

The invention also relates to a forming section for forming a three-layer board web, preferably a folding box board (FBB) or a solid bleached (sulfate) board (SBS), which forming section comprises a multilayer headbox (100) and a forming unit (200).

  • Patent number: 7491295
Abstract: A forming section of a paper or board machine 10 in the forming section of a paper or board machine has a cover 36 having an outlet groove 20 between a suction zone 18 of circular holes and an outlet edge 40. A wire comes to the cover area from an inlet edge 38 and leaves from an outlet edge 40. The outlet groove 20 is essentially in the cross-machine direction of the cover 36. The suction zone accomplishes non-pulsating dewatering, and the outlet groove accomplishes pulsating dewatering. The non-pulsating suction zone first accomplishes good retention, and after this formation is improved on the outlet groove. When pulsating dewatering takes place in the same direction as non-pulsating dewatering and immediately after non-pulsating dewatering, the web formed has a particularly good formation potential. Potential marking caused by non-pulsating dewatering can also be removed efficiently by means of pulsating dewatering taking place on the same side.

  • Patent number: 6780285
Abstract: The invention concerns a loading device for the dewatering a web-forming wire, which supports and/or loads the wire of a paper machine and scrapes water from the wire surface. The loading device is loaded by a pressure medium and includes a movable loading member and a fixed base member. The loading member includes a longitudinal groove which extends the length of the loading member and the base member includes a slide rail adapted to be received in the longitudinal groove for supporting the loading member. In order to eliminate jamming phenomenon of the loading member, the loading member is supported evenly in its position in a cross machine direction and it is adapted to move towards the wire and away from the wire with aid of rollers arranged between the slide rail and the internal walls of the loading member which define the longitudinal groove.

  • Patent number: 6547932
Abstract: The invention relates to a doctor apparatus (10) in connection with a roll (T) in a paper or board machine. The doctor apparatus (10) comprises a doctor beam (12) of lightweight construction and that the doctor beam (12) is arranged to pivot on bearing means (13a1, 13a2 . . . ) (pivot movement arrow L1). In connection with the doctor beam there are loading members (14a1, 14a2), a relative linear movement taking place between the loading members (14a1, 14a2) and backup surfaces (12′, 15a′) when the doctor beam (12) is being oscillated.

  • Patent number: 5573644
Abstract: An apparatus for guiding a wire including a device for producing a washing jet and a device for removing washing mist generated from the washing jet which has a suction box. The suction box is located on an opposite side of the wire from the device for producing a washing jet. The suction box has a duct through which the mist produced in the washing of the wire is passed into an inlet chamber. The duct is arranged at an angle, preferably at an acute angle, relative to the running direction of the wire. In conjunction with, a mist suction device, there is provided a list which is in contact with the wire and deflects the wire so that the direction of arrival of the wire at the list differs from the direction of departure of the wire from the list.
