Abstract: A filter plate assembly which is resistant to both wear and deformation caused by creeping, while facilitating maintenance thereof. A filtrate vat is provided that is formed on, and integral with the filter plate, in addition to a separate, replaceable vat liner. In this way, a rigid structure of the filtrate vat capable of resisting deformation may be achieved, while the vat liner separates the filtrate from the filtrate vat and the associated filter plate, providing wear resistance and facilitating maintenance. The present disclosure further concerns the filter plate and the filtrate vat.

Abstract: An outlet piece assembly for a horizontal plate and frame-type filter, such as tower press. The disclosure is based on the idea of providing the outlet piece assembly as having a base removably attachable to a filter press (e.g., to the filter plate or plate frame thereof), and a lid removably fixed to the base, such that an internal conduit of the outlet piece assembly running between a vat end and a discharge end is formed between the base and the lid. This enables a part of an associated filtrate vat component, such as the vat liner, to be received between the base and the lid, thereby ensuring secure sealing between these components.

Abstract: A filter plate for a horizontal plate and frame-type filter, such as a tower press. A filtrate vat formed on, and integral with a filter plate is provided along with an outlet opening as a gap on a border delimiting the vat for providing drainage route, and a recessed portion provided at the outlet opening. A rigid structure of the filtrate vat that is capable of resisting deformation may be achieved, and contamination from slurry between the filter plate and a possible vat liner or coating is avoided.

Abstract: A sealing strip for sealing adjacent filter plate assemblies of a horizontal filter press. The disclosure is based on the idea of providing the sealing strip with a stiffener at a base portion of the sealing strip, positioned such that it intersects with a line running through a ridge provided on a distal portion of the sealing strip and extending along a vertical direction, perpendicular to both the length direction and the width direction of the sealing strip, as seen along the cross-sectional profile of the sealing strip. A filter frame, a filter frame assembly and a filter apparatus having such a sealing strip are also provided.

Abstract: A filter plate frame assembly and a horizontal filter press, in which accidental over pressurization of the filter diaphragm is prevented. A filter plate frame assembly having a separate subframe is provided with a limited vertical travel with respect to the filter frame and the filter plate, such that the subframe is allowed to drop away from the filter plate when the filter chamber is opened. This enables a diaphragm to be attached to the subframe such that an escape route is formed for a pressurized medium accidentally introduced between the filter plate and the diaphragm. Moreover, the limited travel of the subframe allows the subframe to be pressed towards the filter plate when the filter chamber is closed, thereby allowing normal operation of the diaphragm for squeezing a filter cake.

Abstract: A filter diaphragm for a horizontal plate and frame-type filter, such as a tower press, including a sheet like body and at least on a filter plate-facing side thereof, a continuous seal bead. The seal bead includes an inner seal lip on a lateral inside of the seal bead and an outer seal lip surrounding the inner seal lip on a lateral outside of the seal bead. The outer seal lip is elevated from the inner seal lip in a vertical direction perpendicular to a general plane defined by the diaphragm.

Abstract: A filter plate frame assembly with a filter plate frame and a subframe housed within the frame, such that the subframe can be removed from the frame without removing the frame from the filter press. In this way, consumable components can be provided in connection with the subframe, which can be easily removed from the filter press. This, in turn, makes replacement of worn components faster, as the whole frame does not need to be removed from the filter press. An associated horizontal filter press and a method of replacing worn components of such a filter press is also provided.

Abstract: A filter element for a filter apparatus includes at least one filter member and a frame member arranged to support the at least one filter member in such a manner that an internal cavity is formed. The filter member includes a permeable membrane layer which has a first filter surface for receiving a pressure and directed towards an internal cavity arranged in-side the filter element, and a second filter surface for receiving solid particles filtered from a feed. The filter member forms a capillary filter.

The elongated bottom discharge opening is provided with a first openable and closable hatch arrangement and with a second openable and closable hatch arrangement extending across the elongated bottom discharge opening.
