  • Patent number: 8916291
Abstract: An electrolytic solution capable of suppressing the battery swollenness and improving the battery characteristics such as the charge and discharge efficiency and a battery using it are provided. A cathode (21) and an anode (22) are layered with an electrolyte layer (24) in between. The electrolyte layer (24) is gelatinous, containing the electrolytic solution and a polymer compound. The electrolytic solution contains a compound having proton scavenging capacity such as hexamethylenetetramine and hexaethylenetetramine. Thereby, a free acid such as hydrofluoric acid is scavenged, and decomposition reaction of the electrolytic solution or the like is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20140023900
Abstract: A secondary battery is provided. The secondary battery includes a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer provided on a positive electrode current collector, a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer provided on a negative electrode current collector, and an electrolyte, in which the positive electrode and the negative electrode are stacked and rolled up while placing a separator in between. A sum (A+B) of a total thickness “A” of the positive electrode current collector and the positive electrode active material layer, and a total thickness “B” of the negative electrode current collector and the negative electrode active material layer ranges from 161 ?m to 220 ?m. A ratio (A/B) of the total thickness “A” to the total thickness “B” ranges from 0.65 to 1.9.

  • Patent number: 7399552
Abstract: Provided is a battery capable of improving charge-discharge cycle characteristics. The battery comprises a spirally wound electrode body in which a cathode and an anode are spirally wound with a separator in between. The capacity of the anode includes a capacity component by insertion and extraction of Li and a capacity component by precipitation and dissolution of Li metal, and is represented by the sum of them. Moreover, the anode includes a carbon material capable of obtaining a first peak within a range from 1580 cm?1 to 1620 cm?1 and a second peak within a range of 1350 cm?1 to 1370 cm?1 in a Raman spectrum analysis using argon laser light with a wavelength of 5145 nm, and having an intensity ratio IB/IA between the first peak and the second peak of 0.25 to 0.6, where the intensity of the first peak is IA and the intensity of the second peak is IB. Thereby, precipitation-dissolution efficiency of lithium metal and charge-discharge cycle characteristics can be improved.
