  • Publication number: 20240001987
Abstract: A vehicle vibration control system (VCS) includes a vehicle having at least an engine, a transmission, a frame, a steering column with a steering wheel attached, a passenger cabin, and a controller area network (CAN) bus. The vibration and noise in the cabin and in or around steering column are bothersome to passengers in the passenger cabin. Linear force generators (LFGs) are used to control the noise and vibration in or around the steering column and/or steering wheel. Circular force generators (CFGs) are used to control noise and vibration in the passenger cabin. Sensors are used to measure the noise and vibration.

  • Patent number: 5086209
Abstract: An apparatus is for glossing a sheet having a thermoplastic resin on the surface thereof. The thermoplastic resin is capable of forming a film which imparts gloss upon the application of heat. The apparatus includes a sheet support, a first pair of rollers for feeding the sheet onto the sheet support wherein the resin side of the sheet is away from the sheet support, heating elements, a blower for blowing air through the heating elements to generate hot air which is blown onto the sheet, and a second pair of cold rollers for receiving the sheet after passage over the sheet support.

  • Patent number: 5030539
Abstract: Disclosed is a developer sheet useful in forming reproductions having a glossy finish, or in forming transparencies comprising:a support having a layer of a finely divided, thermoplastic, developer material on the surface thereof, said developer material being capable of reacting with a color precursor to produce a visible image and being capable of coalescing into a thin film which imparts gloss to said image upon application of heat and/or pressure, and having a surfactant admixed within said layer of developer material to aid in the coalescing of said developer material into a thin film.

  • Patent number: 5010114
Abstract: Method for polymerizing a monomer suspended in water which comprises:Preparing a polymerization mixture of a water immiscible, liquid, ethylenically unsaturated monomer, a polyisocyanate and an oil soluble free radical initiator, dispersing said mixture in a solution of water and a surfactant, and effecting polymerization of said monomer.

  • Patent number: 5008237
Abstract: A developer sheet comprising a support having a layer of a color developer on the surface thereof, said color developer being capable of reacting with a substantially colorless electron donating color former to produce a color image and being an acrylic or methacrylic polymer having pendant developer moieties (e.g., hydroxy aromatic or aromatic acid moieties such as salicylic or phthalic acid moieties) which are preferably metallated (e.g., zincated) or being the polymeric reaction product of vinyl salicylic acid or salt.
