    Abstract: A method for distributing radio band signals between stations in a broadband structure. Radio band signals transmitted from a first station are converted to intermediate signals for transfer through a wire connection while maintaining code structure and modulation of the radio signals. The intermediate signals transferred over the wire connection are received and converted to radio band signals while maintaining code structure and modulation of the radio signals. A system and a method for transmitting radio signals in a broadband structure including a first network, said first network operating on air as a first medium. Said first network is connected to a second network through a first media converting means for converting the radio signals for transfer through the second network, said second network operating on wire as a second medium.

    Abstract: A method and system in a wide area radio communications network. The network has at least two central stations, each central station being assigned to at least one peripheral station. According to the method radio transmission at specific frequencies between stations positioned along an arbitrary line is coordinated during all time intervals. The stations are provided with timers, transmitters and receivers for transmitting and receiving during predetermined time intervals in a predetermined direction.

    Abstract: A system and method for connecting two or more peripheral stations to a central station over a common service resource. Each station is connected to one or more switching units; the common service resource is adaptively shared as a function of traffic going to and from the switching units. In one embodiment, capacity in the common service resource is divided into a series of frames, each frame having a set number of time slices, with information form one or more of the switching units being transferred within a time slice. In one such embodiment, time slices which will not be used during a particular frame due to the lack of or repetitive nature of information from a particular switching unit can be used to transfer information from a different switching unit.
