  • Publication number: 20230415221
Abstract: A machine (1) for forming knotted fence mesh has a plurality of side by side knot boxes (6). Each knot box (6) is for forming a knot at an intersection between a line-wire (2) and a stay-wire (4). Each of the knot boxes (6) has a first pair of formers configured to move towards the line-wire-stay-wire intersection from a front side forming a knot at the line-wire-stay-wire intersection at each operation of the knot box (6), and a second pair of formers configured to move towards the line-wire-stay-wire intersection from a rear side at each operation of the knot box (6). The machine has a cam drive system configured to move a plurality of the first pair of formers and the second pair of formers at each operation of the knot boxes (6).

  • Patent number: 10370915
Abstract: A gauge hanger 10 and a setting tool 12 are disclosed. The setting tool 12 includes an electro-mechanical impact driver 26 and a drive shaft 28 which extends out of an outer casing 12. The gauge hanger 10 comprises a nut 32 which can be engaged by the drive shaft 28. When the nut 32 is rotated it can draw a threaded mandrel 36 upwardly in a wellbore. This causes the grippers 40 in a linkage assembly to be driven radially outwardly so that they can grip the sides of the wellbore. A pin 52 is designed to shear once the grippers have engaged with the sides of the wellbore so that the setting tool 12 can be lifted clear.
