  • Publication number: 20060085895
Abstract: Three new ways to make pantyhose easier to use (especially for handicapped persons) have been shown. The single piece Pantyhose and Tights have been converted to 2-piece garments. With regular Pantyhose or Tights the user must maneuver both feet at the same time into the two pantyhose-legs. With the two-part Pantyhose or Tights, this takes place one step (foot) at a time, which is much easier to do.

  • Patent number: 4303696
Abstract: Release coatings are provided by including in a liquid monomer or prepolymer polymerizable by electromagnetic or ionizing radiation a waxy material of limited compatibility therein. Upon application of a film of such material by casting, coating or printing, a thin layer of the waxy material migrates to the surface to provide, after cure, the desired release properties. The thin surface layer of waxy material also tends to exclude oxygen from the film to permit radiant curing in air. Preferably the polymerizable liquid comprises acrylate monomers with or without unsaturated prepolymers co-polymerizable therewith dissolved therein. Novel prepolymers especially useful for providing release films and other radiation curable coatings are described, including the reaction product of polyamides, containing primary and secondary amine groups with unsaturated polybasic carboxylic acids and particular reaction products of polyether triols with toluene diisocyanate, modified with unsaturated monomers.

  • Patent number: 4176212
Abstract: Coating compositions which are curable by simultaneous or sequential exposure to radiation and moisture. In the case of pigmented compositions, rapid curing is initiated by exposure to moderate radiation and the cure completed by exposure to moisture. The various compositions include radiation reactive groups and moisture reactive oxazolidine and isocyanate groups. The moisture reactive and radiation curable groups preferably are interpolymerized during the curing process.

  • Patent number: 3989609
Abstract: A prepolymer containing unsaturated hydrocarbon groups is prepared and mixed on a roller mill with one or more acrylic ester monomers and various additives to make a coating formulation of a desired viscosity. In general, low viscosity formulations are used for overprint varnishes, on paper or foil, or, with pigments, for certain types of printing inks. Higher viscosity formulations are used to apply thick films on panels, tiles or other bodies. Thin films are cured to hardness by brief exposure to ultraviolet light. Thicker films require more energetic radiation such as plasma arc and electron beam radiation. The prepolymers particularly useful for making such radiation curable coatings are the reaction products of polyether polyols and bis- or polyisocyanates and hydroxy alkenes or acrylic (or methacrylic) hydroxy esters, and, likewise, reactive polyamides modified with dicarboxy alkenes, their anhydrides or esters.
