  • Patent number: 8826579
Abstract: A unitary barrel, chamber and bolt region for a firearm is manufactured from a single piece of metal stock so as to precisely and consistently meet headspace requirements. A single piece of metal stock having a bore centerline is successively reamed based on a common datum to achieve precise headspace compliance. The unitary assembly is then profiled, again based on measurements from the datum, to provide a unitary barrel, chamber and bolt region without any form of juncture, headspace or harmonic limitations.

  • Patent number: 8365647
Abstract: A unitary barrel, chamber and action assembly for a firearm is manufactured from a single piece of metal stock so as to precisely and consistently meet headspace requirements. • Patent number: 8132352
Abstract: Multiple improvements dramatically increase the reliability and accuracy of a handgun. By combining a plurality of improvements, the accuracy and reliability of a M1911-A1 is dramatically increased. The improvements include a modified sighting system that enables the user to accurately adjust for varying target ranges without losing sight of the targets or altering contact with the weapon. Lubrication notches are incised into the slide/frame interaction regions to prevent fouling. An ambidextrous safety is added that is retained by an interaction with the sear chip shaft. The hammer is modified to provide a region in which foreign matter can migrate to prevent fouling and improve reliability. And the interaction between the sear chip and the hammer is modified to provide a decreased trigger pull that maintains a positive and safe contact between the sear and the hammer at the sear ledge.

  • Patent number: 7971384
Abstract: A system for interchangeably mounting sighting devices on a plurality of firearms which includes one or more ring assemblies and one or more mounting assemblies. A sighting device is coupled to a mounting assembly using a ring assembly forming a mounting system. The system can then be mounted to one or more firearms using a single connector via two receptacles in the surface of the firearm. An entirely different sighting device and associated mounting system can be exchanged with the existing sighting device by removing the existing mounting system and replacing it with the new sighting device and mounting system. Each sighting device and mounting system are configured to have identical mounting assemblies that interface into standard receptacles in the firearm. In a similar manner a single sighting device and associated mounting system can be mounted on several firearms that each possess the two mounting receptacles.

  • Patent number: 7861640
Abstract: An improved barrel link for consistently and reliably placing a barrel of a semi-automatic pistol into battery is disclosed. One embodiment of the present invention extends the width of the barrel link beyond that of the receiving channel of the barrel lug legs so as to substantially equal the exterior dimension of the barrel lug. In addition, the portions of the barrel link extending beyond the width of the channel of the barrel lug are designed to provide multiple points of contact with the front face of the barrel lug in both vertical and horizontal positions so as to reliably and consistently place the barrel into battery. The additional width of the barrel link and additional contact between the link and barrel lug aids in stabilizing lateral and rotational forces prolonging the life of the weapon.

  • Publication number: 20100125355
Abstract: A custom gun is fabricated by combining stock design modules. Using a common datum various stock modules can be combined to produce a unique stock configuration. Each of the modular stock components is chosen from the library stock design modules according to the characteristics and the intended use of the gun. This subset of design modules is processed in combination with the physical characteristics of a user to arrive at a customized three-dimensional model of a stock for a gun. The model can thereafter be modified and segmented before all or a portion of the model is output to a computer aided machining device which, using a unitary piece of stock material, can fabricate the stock according to the computer generated model.

  • Patent number: 7707761
Abstract: A method for manufacturing double barrel shotgun barrels, including the steps of providing an elongated metal stock material having a first end and a second end, forming two index holes in both the first end and the second end of the material, forming a first and second bore hole through the material, and then profiling the material into a desired gun barrel profile. 16. Double barrel shotgun barrels formed from a single piece of elongated solid metal stock material according to the process of the invention are also taught.
