Abstract: A transportable, hand-held motorized dispenser having an amusement characteristic includes a disc-shaped housing of a top shell and a bottom shell and a motor driven turntable mounted for unidirectional rotation therein. The housing defines a recess for receiving compartments defined by the turntable for transporting objects supplied to the turntable through an entry slot and for dispensing the objects through a dispensing slot in the wall of the housing, one at a time.

Abstract: A wearable iontophoresis system includes a control housing having a connector and an iontophoretic drug delivery patch for placement against the skin of a patient. The patch has a device for retaining the control housing connector which permits the connector to be removably attached to the patch. The control housing also has at least a power supply device and a current delivery device. The control housing has top and bottom surfaces wherein the top surface has raised, recessed and sloping regions. The thickness of the connector is tapered from a second end to a first end. Furthermore, the second end of the connector is attached to the control housing and oriented so that the first end is unattached to the control housing and proximate to the control housing bottom surface. The iontophoretic drug delivery patch includes top and bottom surfaces wherein mounted to the top surface is the device for retaining the control housing connector.

Abstract: The invention provides a cosmetic apparatus for storing and applying cosmetic, particularly mascara to the eyelashes, comprising a container for holding the cosmetic, an applicator for applying the cosmetic to the user and an applicator wiper disposed within the container, near the vicinity of the opening of the container, the wiper comprising a plurality of projections for removing excess cosmetic from the applicator as the applicator is withdrawn from the container. The invention also provides a method for the storage and application of cosmetics contained within the container of the cosmetic apparatus.

Abstract: A clip is disclosed which is attached to the tragus lobe of the ear. The clip has a concave spring with two opposing jaws separated by a slot delineated by an inner surface of the concave spring. The clip also has two opposing pressure pads, each positioned on the end of a different jaw, on the inner surface of the spring, so that they are separated by an opening of the slot. The ear clip additionally has two finger tabs, each having one end attached to an end of a different jaw, on an outer surface of the spring and a second end extending away from the end of the jaw, along the outer surface of the spring.

Abstract: An autotransfuser that includes, in a single receptacle, a pair of chambers separated by a common wall. Each receptacle can alternately perform, a blood infusion or blood collection function. Each chamber includes at least three inlets/outlets, a blood inlet, a blood outlet and an air inlet means In some embodiments of the invention the air inlet means serves alternately to couple either an air or a pressure source on the one hand or a vacuum source on the other hand to the corresponding chamber. In other embodiments of the invention, the air inlet means comprises a vacuum inlet and a separate air or pressure inlet. A disk like device or valve manifold is arranged for rotatable movement adjacent the inlets/outlets. The disk like device includes four channels, one for each of air or pressure, vacuum, blood collection and blood infusion. Each channel includes a port for coupling to external tubing and at least one channel end.

Abstract: A surgical stapler for implanting and clinching staples in the body of a patient employs a reciprocally movable, retractable anvil and a reciprocally movable former for forming a staple about the end of the retractable anvil. A toggle is mounted in a stapler trigger which simultaneously actuates the former and toggle. The toggle removes the anvil end into and out of the path of the former whereby desired release of a formed staple from the anvil is assured following clinching of the staple ends.
