    Abstract: A rod end fitting including a hollow housing with an internal cavity for receiving a rod. The cavity includes an opening or hole through which the rod is inserted into the cavity. In operation, an epoxy or other bonding or setting agent surrounds the rod and generally fills the cavity so as to secure the rod within the housing. The internal cavity is defined as one or more frustums aligned in series. Each of the frustums is shaped from either a right circular cone or an elliptical cone.
