  • Publication number: 20220203465
Abstract: A cross table for a woodworking machine, such as a sliding table saw, and to a woodworking machine having such a cross table. The cross table includes a horizontally lying first workpiece support surface, a stop rail arranged above the first workpiece support surface and having a first workpiece stop surface on a first side of the stop rail, which is arranged such that a workpiece resting on the first workpiece support surface horizontally in front of the stop rail can be placed with a side edge against the workpiece stop surface. The stop rail has a second workpiece stop surface on a second side of the stop rail opposite the first side, the second workpiece stop surface arranged such that a workpiece resting on the first workpiece support surface horizontally behind the stop rail can be placed with a side edge against the workpiece stop surface.

  • Patent number: 7168550
Abstract: For the purpose of delivering, in the lying-flat condition, book blocks or books which are fed in, standing on their back or on the front cut and at defined timing intervals along their height, from a preceding machine in a transport path, provision is made, according to the method, for the books to be picked up, in accordance with the timing, in the transport path, swung out transversely to the direction of infeed and transferred into a defined delivery position which is spaced apart from the transport path, and is essentially a lying-flat position and from which said books can be fed to subsequent machines synchronously with the timing.

  • Patent number: 6398474
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a book block with a rounded or a rounded and pressed back includes adhering a first plurality of narrow retaining strips along outer leaves and back of the book block. Additional retaining strips may be applied transversely across the back of the book block in the region of the top and bottom of the back of the book block. Thereafter, the book block may be rounded or rounded and pressed. It is believed that application of the retaining strips prior to the rounding and pressing operations reduces the forces of resistance in the rounding and pressing operations.
